out of 10 level 2 security missions I've done so far, 8 of them send me to a location where there is absolutely nothing. I mean nothing as in the closest thing on my overview (it's set to all, nothing is being filtered) is a moon 16 AU away.
The one thing these all have in common is when I right click space, there is no encounter like there is when it works (where you can select - mission - encounter - deadspace and warp to it). The only way I can get to the location is right clicking on it in the journal and warping.
I wrote down 2 of them as an example:
1. Padam Yanabas - Illegal activity (1of 3)
2. Padam Yanabs - avenge a fallen comrade
Avenge a fallen comrade says there will be a pirate base, nothing is there. Illegal activity says it's an asteroid field but, again, nothing in sight, no asteroids or anything, just empty space.
What gives? |

Are you sure you're in the right system? I'm not sure why your journal would successfully warp you if you weren't, but that's one reason why it wouldn't show up as a warpable target when right-clicking in space. |

Yeah I mean it's the system that it says to go to in my journal. It seems to just be that one agent. I switched to another one and I'm not having problems. |

Go into overview settings and turn on acceleration gates. You will often need to access a gate to get to the next room with the bad guys.
If gates aren't the problem, try looking at the comments on the mission report to see if you are missing something important.

pretty sure that agent is giving out broken missions. I did sit there for almost 10 minutes. Just the fact that the right click has no deadspace encounter makes me think it's broken. There was no acceleration gate, I'm pretty familiar with how the missions work. Haven't had a problem since I switched agents. |
