I just lost my cane, and now i have a dilemma. People say that the Drake is an insanely awesome ship for missioning, and my cane never really was perfect... Assuming that most missile and gun skills, along with tanking skills for both are at level 4, which ship is a better choice for missioning?

Drake pve (slow, heavy tank good, range iffy dps) Hurricane pvp.(fast, short range/highdps decent tank)

Drake. No questions asked. I love my Hurricane(s), but for a low skill BC pilot with even skills, just get a damn Drake.

Edited by: Dirtliquer on 13/06/2010 11:37:26 I was in same 'boat' as you hehe. Lost 3 Hurricanes in level 3's. Trained up Drake after reading so much how awesome it is. Got in me Drake with lower SP's for it then Hurricane and never lost one in level 3's. I love my cane and would much rather fly it, but just went easy mode in Drake.
Like they say, Drake = PVE, Hurricane = PvP.

Edited by: SpinDoctor15 on 13/06/2010 13:51:44 There's another solution: EVE Survival: Mission Reports
I used my Hurricane for all the level 3's as I worked through them, and never lost a single boat. Also, make sure you have an adequate fit for the Hurc. This is my fit, it won't win any mission-complete races, but it does the job with moderate skills:

For missions the drake is so much better it's not even funny.

Drake will put an end to mission woes for sure. I run level 4's in mine all the time. The tank is simply amazing. The DPS is excellent (for a BC) if you either skill into it or pay through the nose. I think with 4's in missile skills you should be doing fine. I prefer an AB and 3 BCS but you can adjust lows/spare mid for the dps/tank you need. This is clearly a signature. |

The one minmatar ship with noticable larger sig it has over half of that from a batleship im not sure how but that ideal makes it harder to npc with.
