Last year the Fleet Issue Stabber ruled. There were whole matches with nothing but stabbers.
This year I haven't seen a single one. What changed?
Plus a lot more Drakes this year. Wonder what that's about.

That may have been the year before last my memory is a bit fuzzy.
Anyway, lots of changes have taken place since then and they certainly arent good value for points anymore since you can get a bc for one point less.

Yep, that was two tournaments ago, in AT6. Back then there were no logistics, so people didn't have to worry about remote repping, so it became a game of "kill before being killed".

Hurricanes give you more bang for your buck, and they also can run a ganglink.

They both have slightly different roles, Fleet Stabber more for armour buffer with heavy damage while still being fairly agile and quick. Cynabal for being a shield buffer with a lot of agility. However shield buffer + lot of agility seems to be preferred. Either way, I'd chose hurricane over Cynabal or SFI.
Also, I didn't have a say on what we fielded in the tourney. I just flew and did as I was told.

Interesting side note, i believe a armor tanked cynabal will outperform a fleet stabber anyway on every aspect bar tracking. but yea navy faction ships could probably use a lower points cost to pirate ones next year.
