I would love to see cloud ploom fields moving, even sparkles from stars, and shooting stars every where. Love to look out of the ship window and be able to see twinkling stars.
and even seeing the engine tiny blue dots in the very far distance, knowing they are other ships.
Cloud ploom moving and changing shape, asteroids zipping across space. a few asteroids on fire as they shoot across space.
Basically bringing space backgrounds more to life.

There are no shooting stars in space and all the eye-candy, although nice, would be useless for most players. Can't imagine someone in the heat of the battle going over the comms "Omg guise look at the pweetty gas gloud" :D I'm a "Shoot me I suck" specialist. |

i would totally do that.... but thats just me :) based on the distance of these objects aoubt the only thing that would be realistic would be slight twimkles in space. the game prides itself on having realistic distances and effects as far as space is concerned. seeing actual changes would be impossible at the distance the background actually is from you the player. however something like a twinkle would be fine. or in certain areas showing an exploding nebula, just as long as they right enough code for it to change every day for the next 300000 years :) it happens in an instant but even at light speed it takes milenia to completely occur hehe.

I cant believe you just said there are no shooting starts in space. Lmao You must not own a telescope I guess. also, No one said for you to be looking at stars while in a dog fight. not my fault if you get blown up for glazing at the nice background while fighting someone. Some people just make my day.
Thanks for the laughs.

Quote: Shooting star or Falling star is the common name for the visible path of a meteoroid as it enters the atmosphere to become a meteor. If a shooting star survives impact with the Earth's surface, then it is called a meteorite.
Remember kids trolls, avoid sounding dumb by checking your facts before mocking someone on the internet.
also, topic makes no sense. That's not what space looks like. Space is black, with a bunch of stars in the background. They don't twinkle (That's a side effect of the atmosphere). The only real exception to that is if you're looking into a nebula, in which case space is an unmoving blob of colors.
This is what actual space looks like.

You can't look out of the ship window because you're trapped in a pod and see your surroundings through a camera drone flying around your ship.

Stars don't "sparkle" or "twinkle". These are optical effects generated by the upper atmosphere of the earth. As starlight passes through the air, it hits pockets of higher and lower atmospheric concentration.
