Ok...
Have decent trade skills (Tycoon 4)... What other skills help?
Also what effect will having Caldari Navy standings have for trading at Jita 4-4? This toon has zero combat skills, so is there another way to grind Caldari Navy standing or will I needto bite the bullet and learn some combat skills for combat missions?

Caldari Navy missions, Caldari Cosmos missions, Caldari Datacentre missions. The latter two are for faction standings. ----------------------- Join "Signatures" channel - the chatroom for traders |

So to lower brokerage fees, I have to run missions for both Caldari Navy and the Caldari Faction?

For trading in Jita44 locally, other than skills boosting order count (and optionally Margin Trading so you can put up more buy orders for the same cash in wallet), all you really want/need is: * skill Broker Relations (1% broker base -> 0.75% at L5) * skill Accounting (1% sales tax base -> 0.5% at L5) * Caldari Navy corp standings (helps a bit, broker fee formula is a bit more complicated) * Caldari State faction standings (helps roughly twice as fast for same value compared to Navy standings)
I, for instance, have ~+7 CS, almost +10 CN and only L4 BR, but I get ~0.25% broker fees.

Yes, as Akita says. After every 16 Caldari Navy missions you will, get a storyline mission that will boost faction standings. But at some point a few datacentre missions and Cosmos missions will boost your standings more. I am doing it myself, but I can't say I know exactly in what order you should do the different ones for highest standing efficiency. ----------------------- Join "Signatures" channel - the chatroom for traders |

Caldari standing beline system
Litiura .. level 2 agent mostly combat that requires only a 1.1 standing..connection skills will get you there after you run a lvl 1 or two.
level 3 -18 combata agent.. about the quickest you can get there.
HUGEST positve.. A Caldari Navy story line agent... the corporation portion of storylines comes close on average (combining combat and delivery sl's) to 13 or 14 of the 16 missions leading up to it.
Of course, you'll need the sl's to get faction standing... you'll have Navy up to 8 well before you have faction up to 3...then pick another corp with a sl agent and lvl 3s (your faction will qualify you by then pretty much i think)
I'd suggest altrinur and ishkone just in case you want datacores... a few ishoken lvl 3 agents there that trigger the ishkone sl (also caldari).
Blitzing lvl 3's will get you faction quicker than lvl4s unless you've got buddies with high skills . It doesn't take many sp to be able to blitz 3s in a drake especially with a few expensive meta 4 modules..maybe a few implants... the time jumptin to an adjoining system, warping to the acceleration gate and getting back to station is more than the time blitzing most the lvl 3 combat missions.
