Fair enough.
I'm curious though if you vultures make any distinction between:
a) a proffesional corp thief who only plays the game only to rob / gloat
b) someone who 'goes rogue' on players you'd have to class as friends after months or years chatting on voice and playing together.
Is there anything that's actually looked down on?

Well, I personally wouldn't compliment the person who has gone "rogue" as being a good thief, since he just opportunistically grabbed the stuff. While professional corp thieves actually have to plan and execute the whole thing with great precision.
Do I discourage both behaviours though? Yes. I think players should not conduct corp thievery. However, this is only because I don't want my corp assets stolen.
