Why does it have to be pvp?

Maybe make a relay race where they all get the same ship. 10 pilots per team. One starts in the ship and the others are like 60km apart. The first guy flies to the 2nd guy who is sitting in his pod and the first dude ejects and the 2nd guy gets in. This keeps going on till it gets down to the last guy who flys to a jetcan and smartbombs it to win the race. I dunno maybe this is a bad idea but maybe some other people got some ideas. Or maybe some kinda crazy mining competition where the winner of the round gets to keep the ore both teams mined minus twenty percent that goes into a pot that the first place team gets at the very end!

A race has been done before, several in fact. It basically boiled down to "nearest to the server wins"; the competition would really only be open to high speed connections within the UK and the immediate vicinity of Europe, people connecting from anywhere else, or with slower connections, would never be in the contest by default. ------

I understand your wish for being on the live TV. You should however realize that its not enough to be on TV, it has to actually be interesting in order for people to watch it... Watching sessionchanging pods is not how I define fun.

We have somewhat decent AI already with the sleepers, why not put a team on the field with NO idea what they're going to face, "jump" in a bunch of rats and see who can score the most points before being annihilated? Could even do it as part of a storyline event, these Sansha invasions and such.
