I hope this is not where kill missions are going. 80% of missions I get from my agent are in Deadspace locations where I just warp and kill everything in sight. This is getting really boring because almost all Deadspace missions are similar to each other. Where have all old missions gone? ---------------------------------------------- Proud member of Finfleet

check out my post....or the other 300000 of em :) Come on how creative can a kill mission be? Would you rather not have to kill everything in sight and be forced to leave survivors to tell of your maniacal killing skill? Lol, come on! IT'S A KILLING MISISON, SO KILL THINGS! Watch explosions, laugh insanely, make up your own story and talk to yourself while playing it! You may have stolen the princess but I stole your wife and she is in my ship right now! Die knowing that she betrayed you! Muwahahaha. Seriously, I'm all for voicing opinions, but do it where all the other peeps are doing it. The only reason I get away with saying what everyone else like me has said is because it is all in reply to you guys :) and I can't expect you to see a reply from me in another post right? Did that make sense *asking myself* Why yes FP, it sure did.

There is room to add more variety to kill missions. Missions where you have to recover prisoners after killing the rats are a start, and missions that have a dramatic little pop-up message are an attempt.
But excitement comes from the unexpected. I would like to see about 10-15% of all kill missions have an unexpected second wave of rats; no more than that or it will not be unexpected. A small handful, one or two on each level, should have a third or fourth wave. Of course, these waves should not be described in the mission journal until the instant the surprise spawn happens.
Another surprise variant could be an item that you have to return that you do not know about until the rats are destroyed. The journal would flash as you kill the last rat to tell you about the item, which would be in a can dropped by an NPC, or perhaps a deadspace structure.
The detailed mission journal is great for preparing your ship, but there needs to be something you don't expect to keep the missions interesting.

Edited by: KadaEl on 16/12/2004 01:55:39 I'm personally quite fond of the "Angel Surprise" mission. "You get to kill just a lone angel indy....OHHH we totally surprised you!!!" It was great.
Quick question for you peeps tho, gally agents are making me kill bloods and angels, in 20x missions i've yet to get 1 non deadspace mission, and i've yet to get a mission that wanted me to kill serps/gurts. I used to exclusivly have to kill them, and sometimes the rogue pirates or the mordu. So yea, do you minmatar and amarr people get to kill guristas and serps? Or is there just Angle and Blood lovin goin on down in iceland? ------------------------------------------- =) |

Edited by: Arleonenis on 16/12/2004 09:16:16 yep i run minmatar agent and i was asked to kill all pirate factions and amarr navy in missions...
and yep deadspace missions is crap, as there is almost no loot from npc, and this what show up is some 'basic' stuff, furthermore i must go into firing range to kill npcs and the mwd isnt option there...
heh i want a missions when i need actualy help in some kind of battle between few minmatar forces fighting against big enemy group (amarr or pirates)... and some bonus maybe from survivors?
