You're a nice dude, but you are treading in an area you don't know a lot about. As far as why Vanguard's numbers have been slipping, I could go on for a while, but that's neither here nor there. What I really came to say was that frankly, the two times I ever got decent numbers out of that alliance easily trumped any fleet you guys could put together.
