I'm trying to upgrade an account and there is still the activation fee... why?

because ur account isnt an acvtive subscription. just another way for'em to make a buck.
if you upgrade with an ingame plex im told it simply takes away some of the time to cover the cost of activation

yes but they are saying there is no more activation fee for the weekend yet I'm still seeing it. I mean they aren't getting my money unless its gone like they said it is lolz

Ah okay, I have no idea then. I remember last week people were complaining that they had still been charged the activation fee. I think they petitioned it and got their 5 bucks back, but tbh the recruit a buddy thing + PLEX is a much better deal.

if u know ur gonna play eve just buy a GTC and activate taht wawy, they dont get ur 5$ then
There's 1, repeat 1, frigate in the T1 lineup designed to be a suicide tackler. the rest are for COMBAT. so don't tell me to tackle when I'm in a combat T1 frig. OR tell CCP to fix their mess. |

No time taken but I think the plex cost has the activation fee added anyway.
The easiest way to get an alt is to have your main do a buddy invite. Main gives alt a plex which is offset by the 30 days they get for the invite. Alt then gets 21 days plus 30, total 51 days free.
