After watching a friend of mine solo a Angel 10/10 in his Tengu I wanted to train for one myself, but I can already fly the Gal version (though I dont own one) the Proteus.
My question is, can I get the Proteus to solo 10/10 plexs like the Tengu can?
If so any advice on fittings?
Thanks alot in advance.

Have an alt that could fly a logistics ship as well, so basicaly I have two maxed Gal pilots, what would be a good duo assuming proteus couldnt solo it.

the ones with the 2500dps tank boss rats will obviously be impossible, also you have really low base exp resists on the prot, it will be very slow to do it but probably possisble, an ishtar might be better but the alpha from cit guns can be mean

A major reason why the Tengu is good at soloing the high end plexes is not only does it have a great tank, but applying decent dps at range (especially useful for stasis towers) isn't an issue with heavy missiles. Also, missiles are pretty good against frigates/elite frigates. With other T3 ships using turret dps, going for the range (Beam, Railgun & Artillery) options, severely gimps DPS and can bring fitting issues. Also, the T2 heavy missile ammo is pretty awesome in that not only being able to choose dmg type, but you can use high dmg for > frigate and precision for the frigates.
While my Loki has a better tank vs Sansha than my Tengu, the Tengu wins hands down for tank & spank.
The only plexes that will present a problem solo are those that require a tremendous amount of DPS to break the targets tank. This is made a lot easier in the Tengu as a lot of those NPC's have extra repping if the player gets too close. This is negated with the Tengu have long range heavy missiles.

Edited by: Mike712 on 20/06/2010 14:11:32 Proteus is a poor choice for 10/10s mainly due to your choice of weapon systems, blasters have too limited range of course and rails are terrible.
You could try some sort of passive/drone setup but honestly I think it would be very impractical, an ishtar would be better, or just cross train the tengu.
