Okay have looked for this so apologies if I've missed the right thread and my grovelling apologies if this has already been suggested and/or is already in the pipeline. This idea relies upon assets and technology rolling out with incarna - so please keep in mind this context - namely all characters are now true 3d and modelled by their respective owners.
Put simply, aboard a ship we will have the option of showing off a selection of captured corpses in all their 3d glory in storage tubes. Of course we might also place our own on display to remind us of past failures or successes. As said, this is assuming we will have 3d characters and that incarna soft launch might be technically easier and offer more immersion and buy-in by letting us walk on our own ships before stations (smaller environments /logical reason for character limit /and crucially the depth of experience is already there as our ships work!)
'After fighting my sworn enemy in a bloody war I finally have his corpse as a trophy - of course I have many more than his - those of his subordinates and allies. The war has drained the coffers, it is time to reach a settlement. I invite their delegation aboard my flagship. Before we commence talks, a tour of the bridge is in order. And naturally close-by is a sealed walk-in-vault. Here lie my human trophies, within liquid nitrogen filled tubes. The delegation don't seem to care, then they notice their inside man. As the flagship opens fire the delegates realise peace was never on the table.'
A similar but distinct functionality could also give us the option of 'managing' our own clones within stasis tubes (to change physical appearance). To take this to its logical conclusion this would also be the area where we start the game - before a tour of the bridge and then being inserted into our pod.
Before people flame this please remember all ships larger than frigates have crews etc. and other areas within your ship beyond your capsule.

Next thing ya know you can take the decapitated heads and put them on your mantle. Maybe I can get a human skin rug for my quarters. New profession Taxedermy! Have a stuffed capsuleer on a stand wearing clothes you pick out!

Considering that most of the time when you're in a ship, you're in your pod, being able to walk IN your ship seems kind of pointless. From reading a bit of back story/fiction (mainly The Empyrean Age and The Burning Life), there appears to only be a few ships where the pilot has the facilities to leave their pod without being docked in a station. Exceptions would be ships like Rorquals with Clone Bays and the like.

Okay thanks for the great feedback. This is not a 'sick idea' but something that would work 'relatively' easily and add a level of immersion and connection between Internet spaceships /pvp and incarna. The danger as I see it is that incarna could feel like a completely different entity - unconnected to the current eve universe.
This is just one of several ideas I can think of which would quite effectively and 'cheaply' act as bridging features...
