You can maintain a certain distance from an object, just look around the target window -- the button should be around the caps lock.

First, having caps on makes you sound like a stupid whining dog. Surely you can look at what you are typing as you are typing it. Or at least check to make sure it is right.
Second of all. The space ships do have sub-warp engines for a reason. Either use them. Or stop AFK mining.

I approve of this idea.
you will not only be bumped, but bumping ships can not possibly cause aggression since jita would literally blow up in a day, so bumping you not only would make your little retriever blow up instead of move away from the asteroids, but not even cause the person in the battleship to engage combat with you.
