Yes, KEVIN COSTNER ... or the company that he is a part with
I guess some old oil rigs and equipment from "Waterworld" gave him the idea ---

I love how the oil companys blew him off for over a decade but now with the obama administration getting ready to actually drop the justice dept hammer on bp they are all like 'hey! we need 32 of those asap!!!!'

the only down side is, they can only actively run one of them at a time
something about how it doesn't work unless Kevin Costner himself is actively peeing into the device

Nice! Waterworld I thought was a pretty good movie. Dennis Hopper was pretty awesome in it also.

It is about time Waterworld made their production money back
But I heard this on TMZ about 3 weeks ago and they made me laugh about it.

Why don't they just get Kevin Costner to go punch out the oil spill? Or Chuck Norris to glare all the oil back underground

I wonder why Haliburton hasn't gotten its head bitten off yet tbh
I've only looked at it casualy but I dont follow how BP was realy involved in this, Transocean ran the rig and Haliburton was working the drill shaft....

...from what I can gather, because BP contracted out the work to those American firms.
As I said above, I think all involved should taking the pain equally, not just BP and not certainly not because it used to be called British Petroleum.
It's just an easy target to direct incoming fire away from an ineffective Presidential Administration by the use of xenophobic sabre rattling.

Because Kevin Costner doesn't have the reputation that Chuck Norris has on the internet yet. And Chuck Norris is incapable of any such act.

I know this might offend your British superiority complex, but just because its BP doesn't mean we're "blaming the british." I know, its amazing, it could actually be that we're blaming an oil company for being a, you know, oil company!
Just because it has the word "British" attached to it, doesn't mean that its entirely "British."

The biggest shareholder in BP is JP Morgan that owns 29% and that is US based. Myself I think there is some degree of foreigner bashing in this BP debacle for US commercial gain. The US media did it with Toyota car recall issue to nerf Japanese car sales and boost domestic sales. .................................................. Cylon cultural victor! |

BP takes the blame because they are bascially the General Contractor. like if the cable company hires a contractor to do an install and they hit your house with the van, you call Comcast to complain not the contractor.

So why has Obama kept making pointed references to "British Petroleum", when British Petroleum simply doesn't exist as a company and he bloody well knows this? It's BP. It is NOT British Petroleum.
Secondly, I am saying all the involved paties should take the blame equally and you stereotype this as a British superiority complex? How is that inferring British superiority?

The British really do not have a superority complex. Most of us think our country is a pale shadow of what it used to be and wish it was more.
Newspaper columists get paid to write all sorts of stuff to entertain their readers and some of it is bashing other countries to appeal to the narrow minded and parochial. But this does not reflect the view of a whole country nor the majoirty of it. .................................................. Cylon cultural victor! |

I think the only evidence needed to verify Costner's bad-*** standing is the movie "The Postman". Bill died, and he dealt with it. Like a hero.

In my experiance everyone that can get sued gets sued. The parent company, the general contractor, the subcontractors, and in many cases, the individual employees if negligance at the individual level is found to be part of the issue.
