THE THUNDERDOME
I am going to invite all of you to a new chat channel dedicated specifically to fair, casual PVP encounters inside of Empire.
Sometimes you just want to log on, banter a little bit, score a few fights and hopefully a few kills before logging off. Win or lose, it is just a fun way to play the game. We also have real lives and would like to get more bang for our buck out of EVE Online.
However:
So much effort is put into finding a fight, playing station dock-dock games, and dodging fools wielding neut RR [because they canÆt handle the loss of a tech I cruiser ]
Can you say fail PVP Carebears?
Well, the buck stops here \O/ I am opening up a new channel in game called ôThe Thunderdomeö and I am inviting anyone and everyone to join it, and learn how much fun legitimate engagements with people who actually want to fight can be.
Channel Rules:
1.) Have fun playing EVE Online.
2.) Find someone in the channel, banter, make people cry, score a legitimate duel.
3.) Fight them in an asteroid belt not at station.
4.) Fights can be 1 v 1 or 10 v 1 it is up to you, and any ship class is cool.
5.) No Neut RR!! [if you do it you will be automatically banned for life]
See how simple that is?
I have also created an in game mailing list named ôThe Thunderdomeö if someone receives neut RR during a duel and kills you, all you have to do is take a screen capture, upload it to photobucket [A Free Internet Photohosting Service] and put the link to that screen capture into and EVE Mail there, along with a short description of the fight. [Eve mails into my personal in box will be ignored!! Use the mailing list!!!]
Once done, at my leisure and convenience, I will ban said individual from ôThe Thunderdomeö chat channel permanently. Overtime we can build a base of players there who actually want to play the game instead of just ganking the **** out of the other guy.
My only assumed role is to make certain that people who need to get banned, get banned. Other then that I am looking forward to spending more time playing EVE and less time dodging ganks and RR while "trying to play eve"

Even though I never accept 1v1's since it will be fighting on their terms(Who's to say they honour it), I'm glad there's something like this for idi- players like this
