New camera mode: follow ship
Other than the "normal" camera style where you can look at everything from every angle from any distance, how about creating an extra camera setting (can be done via right clicking the "reset camera" button) that makes the camera "follow" the ship, or have a "relative" position rather than an absolute one (so when the ship turns, you see the ship stay still but the background moves; when the ship goes "up" your camera will tilt as well).
The reason for this is 1. fun, and creating a sense of "belonging to the ship" rather than looking at the universe through a 3rd persons view all the time. 2. lore-wise, it represents the camera drone being "idle" and stays in the same location near (and relative to) the ship, because there just shouldn't be a universal "up" or "down" in space.
Please tell me what you think of the idea. Excuse my poor English if there's any mistake. And thanks for reading.

No, great idea.

If you're going to quote me that's great, but it must be something I've actually said. Shadow.

I'd rather have a "Lock Camera to Target" feature so I didn't have to concentrate on moving the camera to see the action (video making)

Do CCP read these threads? How do I raise more support so CPP actually pay attention to this idea?

sure you can, I just did
Would be epic for dogfighting in rifters and other small, fast ships. Would also be neat if you could do it with enemy ship.

Exactly what I am thinking as well, imagine orbiting a larger ship and shooting at it and looking at the same time, it would be like a first person shooter pretty much. It will be another level of immersion, and it is very useful tactically as well. My guess is it won't take too much coding to implement this feature but the gain is definitely much more than the effort to put in. So please consider this CCP!
(Reminds me of another upcoming spaceship game "Color-FortuneTelling" not sure if I can mention it here)
One question - can I possibly make a thread in the Assembly Hall so that the CSM will look at it to make it more of an realistic proposal? Or are there any requirements to post in that forum?

There is one more reason to add this. I hate constantly readjusting my view when i'm orbiting someone. I'd like the camera to allways look, say 90 degrees to the side of my ship if i set it that direction.

You mean like "set as interest" that you get if you activate advanced camera in the esc-menu?

Umm, put your cursor over a target the next time you're in combat. Hover there for about 5 seconds. View snaps to the object.
And as mentioned above, there are advanced options that already do something like this.
