Massive PI production comes to mind. The skills are cheap and quick to train so that would be 12 characters all pulling in materials. Or the more traditional time honored research alt passive income army of doom. Trading becomes hugely profitable with so many alts in haulers to move stock around. And thats just the carebear side of things. A few scout alts seeded around the gates of a nullsec system of your choice as you rat or explore is rather nice not to mention having your own personal cyno chain for the cap fleet is pricless. The possibilities are endless tbh.

So I just created 3 accounts that I will have for 51 days. How do I make the most profit out of them in that time? :P

Go for the trade characters that give you the good trade skills at creation and then train for a mammoth that can use t2 cargo mods and well, trade. After you get going with the trade routes skill up for basic pi and set up at planets along your routes. Pick up the materials as you haul choice goods around the hubs and Profit! Most of it can be done afk as you play with your main so its pretty easy to do and if you do well then maybe enough isk will be left to buy a plex and keep it going so you can set them up as self perpetuating with research alts and such over time.

Train them up for trading, hauling, cloaking, transport ships. Learn where people produce datacores (check out the Profitability of R&D Agents service) and make sure you can buy stuff at the stations where those agents live. Grind standings with those corps in order to reduce broker fees - with your hauling training you'll be able to find Manufacturing or Production agents who will give you mostly courier missions.
There are, of course, other items on the market that are more profitable than datacores - it's just that datacore hauling is dead easy due to the limited number of places that people can create them.
Reinvest your profits into a blockade runner & covops cloak, expand your arbitrage hauling empire to lowsec.

Edited by: Ayunei on 28/06/2010 03:04:03 I think CCP just stopped it, I sent an invite to myself, but in the confirmation screen I got this:
Quote: * Each Active Subscription Account (trial accounts do not qualify for this promotion) can send Buddy Program invites * Each Active Subscription Account is restricted to 3 Buddy Program invites per month * Only accounts created through this emailed invite are valid for this offer. Be sure your friends use the invite to create their account in order for you to earn your game time when they subscribe to EVE Online * Eligible subscription activations can be funded by Credit/Debit cards, Direct Debit, WebMoney, paysafecard, ETC, PLEX and PayPal. Payments not eligible for this offer: PayByCash, Steam. * Your friend must activate the free 21-day trial within 2 weeks of receiving your Buddy Program invite. * You will need to have an active account once your friend purchases an EVE Online subscription to get your 30 days. * Please note that once your friend purchases an EVE Online subscription, your 30 free days may take up to 24 hours to be applied.

Edit: A corpie said it worked for him though... I'm not sure.

thatbloke, thanks for the heads up about the special offer and the great instructions. It does work as I received an extra 30 days for $1.99. That's one cheap PLEX.
Another thing to think about when creating a second account. If you can't afford maintaining the second account, you can always transfer the character from your second account to your main account. It will cost you $20, but you will have a train up character without having to pause skill training on your main. Just make sure you give yourself 4-7 days before your second account expires for the transfer.
thatbloke, once again thanks!

bumping as this awesomeness has fallen off the first page!
The funny thing about this sentence is that by the time you've finished reading it, it's too late for you to realise it doesn't say anything. |

This is awesome. So far, 2 extra months on my account - thanks to the Buddy Program - for just $4 USD. I stuffed up and used a third key on a trial account I'd created just prior to the 14 day window, without doing the required reading first. Oh well. Only $2 blown, cheaper than what I pay for coffee on campus.
I'm thinking of buying another 3 copies to try and store the CD keys for when I get my next set of Buddy Program invitations.
Meanwhile, 51 day duration PI alt army (EDIT: well, more of a squad sized unit) chaaaaarge!
Only a few hours left to decide ...
EDIT 2: I'd been bumping into a fraud prevention error after the second purchase, so for the third copy I switched from Credit Card to PayPal but on the forth attempted purchase the PayPal was blocked too (though possibly due to a connection on that account to the previously used card) HOWEVER I've found that I can gift EVE to the new account from my main Steam account using my Credit Card again. I'm trying it for 5 & 6 now.

I just got this, but it was more because I wanted to be able to eve through steam without my everyone in my friends list seeing "Eve Online: Demo" whenever I was playing. It's a small thing I know but it annoyed me ^^; Does anyone know if you have to use the code within a certain period of time? I might save it for some time when I can't afford to buy a GTC ^^;

This process of gaining extra days is considered a billing exploit as stated in the terms and conditions of the Buddy Program.
