I'm with Doof here, Upon the winning of AT8 prizes should have been contracted to PL right there and then.
Waiting for a week is crazy especially considering the worth of the item, The thought process and planning for such an event must take crazy skills and to go on to win it then not get the prizes in a decent time frame is again just absolutely pure un-professionalism on CCPs part.
Also As stated by Doof its not like a favour its CCPs job to get the prizes to the winners in a timely fashion.
I mean lets be honest prize isk can be done INSTANTLY surely?
The ships have been made, takes 1 DT to seed them onto the database? or a few clicks for BPCs to be contracted
Why a week?

Why don't they just make the ships readily available before-hand or during the tournament?
Then they could jsut be like "nice win guise here's your ships" during the immediate after-celebration and we could have a short clip with the winners and runners up flying around in their new (but not equipped) ships.

Fountain worked out great thanks. We milked it for all it was worth, and then once it wasn't worth 1/100th of what it was we got rid of it.

yeh this is an absolute joke, imo it ruins the credibility CCP are trying to give the tournament. So much for them trying to make it into a real e-sport. I am not blaming claw, but if he is incapable of organizing the handing out of prizes then CCP should get someone who can as this puts a real taint on what was otherwise a very good tournament.
It is a shame the professionalism of the EVETV and ISD teams cannot be duplicated into the tournament organization.

You clearly underestimate how busy and important Claw is in the ~marketing~ department. That said, it is the only part of CCP that seems to do any work.

I think this is all about power, control and the demonstration of it.
I cannot think of any practical reason for the delay. Which is kinda ****ty.
It's like an attempt to make us feel grateful for receiving the prizes that are infact his job to give us when we earn them in the tournament.
So much for the tournament becoming a viable e-sport. Is there an internet equivalent of the Special Olympics ?

There you go theres a bunch of reasons.
Its a bit annoying you havent got your shineys, and its TYPICAL ccp slackness - but hey - theres a lot of you in the four alliances - why not down stop subbing some alt accounts for a month or so and hit them in the wallet insteead of spamming the forums.
Post a list of all the alts not resubbing in a thread so CCP can work out how much money they have lost. Hell do it with your mains.
Hit them in the wallet > crying on forums
But you wont do that will you coz your all addicts and ccp knows it

The fact of the matter is WE HAVE HAD NO CORRESPONDENCE. How much effort does it take to send an eve-mail to us explaining the situation, 10 minutes out of someones day?
Considering that last year, PL had to really fight to get their prizes AFTER 6 MONTHS, how can you blame anyone for wanting an answer. CCP Claw has the worst track record for not handing out the prizes in due course, most likely because hes unprofessional, lazy and doesn't give a toss now that the tournament is over.

I do suggest though that if CCP have a track record of handing out prizes 6 months late - then would one not take that as the norm - and expect your prizes to be issued months later?
If in the last 5 tourneys the prizes have taken 3 months to be awarded why would you expect them insta hangered in this one? The tournie is essentialy a cross between a PR stunt and a gift to the players. Why not, with their past track record, simply not apply to fight in the next one.
The top 4 alliances from this touney dont turn up to the next one - devaluing it and perhaps a mention of this will seep into the PR ccp crave.
But that aside - yes its frustrating how CCP are. I do suggest though that if you havent got the balls to start suspending accounts - you have no leverage over CCP.

Suspending my account isn't going to motivate CCP to do anything. If everyone involved with the HYDRA and PL teams suspended all their accounts (maybe 300-400 or so) then it wouldn't make a noticeable difference to CCP at all. How many people threatened to ragequit over the speed/nano nerfs? maybe 8000 accounts, did it ever stop CCP from balancing it? no. I am probably having a larger effect on CCP by posting here.

Yeah i guess your right. The player is basicaly powerless in this game - CCP do pretty much what they want. Depressing eh.
However - If you think that losing 9000 dolars of revenue a month is irrelevant to CCP though - then how utterly inconseqential is it to them to have a few guys whining on the forums.
