It looks like this is being fixed in the next(1.0.3) patch being deployed tomorrow.

"huge" problem. poor bears can't live without autopilot or check their routes before trudging off to do other things. again, we thoroughly enjoyed all the loot your raven provided and we encourage you to come visit often! in fact, just put all your stuff in a freighter and hit autopilot and we will take care of the rest!

Prepare to get screwed guys. CCP is not going to reimburse anyone for any losses. This is probably a game killer for a couple hundred to several thousand players, at the least.
Till a few days ago I had a lot of faith in CCP, both as a company that provides entertainment value, as well as a collection of people I would like personally, but that has totally evaporated now.
"Regrettably any losses incurred by this error is not something we can reimburse for. The routes generated are displayed on the left hand side of the client and do not hide the fact that a low or null security system is included in the path"
I guess they were right, EVE is dying.

Game enhancement confirmed. I don't use autopilot to fly but do use the route settings when transporting valuable cargo in haulers. I noticed it added no less than 6 prime lowsec systems to my route between Osmeden and Stacmon. Shortened the route from 13 jumps to 9 and increased the likelihood of getting popped exponentially.
But, hey, I got a free worthless ship out of the deal so what's not to like about it?

We went on a roam, I saw some low sec systems on the route, and made a new route while we were warping to the next gate. Took me all of ten seconds, and I simply called the outgates to the rest of the fleet.
Are all of you carebears really to lazy to take a few seconds to make a new route?
And whose fault is it that you didn't look at the autopilot route before leaving to rub one out?

Continuing to insult the player base for what you perceive as stupidity is not constructive. And only serves to reinforce the feelings of distrust and animosity between CCP and it's player base.
I'm glad you had such a good time shooting targets that would never fight back, and had no intention to, because they trusted CCP. Which was their main failing; To trust the company we pay for entertainment.
Everyone who got burned by this bug trusted CCP, and they took advantage of that and put the screws to you.
Do you really think that everyone at CCP did not know about this and was laughing about it that morning, expecting exactly this? Take a look at the responses they gave out. We expect bullying and internet tough-guy crap from the player base, but to be on the receiving end of pure grieving from CCP itself is outrageous.
CCP is laughing at all of you for your losses.

Seriously? You probably would follow a garmin on your car into the nearest deep body of water too.

We can neither avoid the systems, or see the route on the left side of the screen. let me repeat that :
Avoid system does not work for everyone, only certain characters on your account. The route no longer displays on the left of the screen.
I feel sorry for all of those who trusted CCP. You got burned, again.

The point is, the program doesn't work as designed and has nothing to do with Garmin. Imagine if you went into battle in lowsec only to discover that your weapons and shields no longer functioned after the update and there goes your billion ISK+ carrier. Kinda the same thing.
The program worked one way before the update and you have every expectation that it will continue to do so - unless, of course, you've been around CCP long enough to know that their ineptness, at times, rivals that of a government agency.

My auto pilot changed route mid flight the other day, was watching the computer to check I went where I wanted, as I knew about the bug, and was surprised to watch 4 systems disappear from the flight plan after 1 jump, one of the 4 systems disappearing happened to be an 0.5 system (so wasnĘt worried about going through to begin with) but found it interesting that my auto pilot had decided it no longer wanted to go that way.
