Which is better for mining and hauling? "Don't worry, it's not as bad as it looks" |

Mining *and* hauling? These ships only do one thing each. Barges mine well, but are very slow and only carry a base of 2000m¦ for the easy-to-get model. They make bad haulers, unless you are very patient.
Haulers shift a lot of stuff really well, but only have a single laser to mine with. They make bad miners, unless you are very patient.
My advice is learn to fly a tier 2 or 3 indy, and then get a mid-sized mining barge. Top-level barges/Iteron Vs are great, but take a long time to get. And they still only do one thing. :-)

And if you didn't already know, the Procurer is a waste of ISK and hangar space.
But yes, one cannot be the other. You need one of each.

I've got a Badger II, but thats only got a single turret placement, so mining with that takes a long time :(
I was hoping that the new barges had some kind of middle ground, ie, smaller cargo hold but more turret points etc "Don't worry, it's not as bad as it looks" |
