But since I think you might have just admitted to account sharing I'm not sure it would be worth it. (assuming ccp actually cares about that)

So he could have been transferred legally I suppose. I would imagine the OP would have figured out what to do with the negative balance before going through with the transfer in that case though. They aren't free.

There is one, actually. It still involves GM actions, though. If you lose a ship, petition to get it reimbursed, then go spend the insurance money. If the GM reimburses your ship, the GM ALSO deducts the insurance money from your wallet. If you succeed, you will find that you are not logging in to your friend's account and you are not noticing the fact that his characters have negative wallet balances? When ccp confirms an ISK seller they go back back through the accounts wallet history to see who they had given large amounts of isk. If you happen to be one of those people then you can expect them to come down on you whether you've already traded the isk to a third party or otherwise. As somebody mentioned you can also go negative due to receiving an insurance payoff and spending it before petitioning for ship reimbursement. That is of course if they approve said reinbursement. Negative wallet is very hard to recover from and your almost better poff starting all over. I'm not sure if it still like this but I do know that years back people couldn't even give you isk when your wallet is negative. They would get an error. In addition you couldn't even buy ammo directly from people as when they set the price to 0 it woud still say you lacked the funds for the trade. This being because you had less than 0 isk.

Pretty sure there's some things you can't use corp ISK for - upgrading clones for example.

Not sure, but it sounds like it's possible to go negative once you have this skill. My alt currently has approx 250mil in the wallet, and around 400mil in buy orders, with approx 50mil in escrow (numbers may be a little off, but close enough). So I have 300mil in total ISK, and 400mil in buy orders. However, you would probably gain a positive balance to work with that you can use to start over or to purchase another character with.

Margin trading will NOT let you get a negative wallet. I'm going to assume you've gotten this char in a kosher way. 2 bil is annoying to have to deal with, but a 42 mill char is a nice enough thing to have it's worth some trouble. You've got a couple of options.... Just PVP with the char, and do all your moneymaking on other chars, take the time to earn the 2 bill and just pay it off. If you're really into pve and want to be able to use the char for that, I dunno if this would work, but it's an idea to try putting the char into a new corp and setting it to 100% tax, so the corp gets all the isk instead of the char. Then just send isk from corp to the char of your choice who can actually use a wallet.

This takes ~3 codes depending on where you redeem it. 2) Biomass and restart. It hurts for a 42m SP toon, but it wasn't yours to begin with anyway. I forgot to mention that you are in fact reading something that is called a signature.
