What if the answer to the big debate about local ended up something like this:
When ambulation rolls out, one of the features of players on stations is the advent of full local info (that is: accurate local count, ability to discern your corp's standings with local target info, and full pilot info as the local channel now provides)was only available to characters docks in station or in a POS? There might be a place [Ye Old Local Info Shoppe] in each station (and/or a player built POS module) that provided this kind of intel.
Such a change would give a whole new twist to scouts. It would change a great deal but might be an actual compromise between some of both sides of the current local debate...

GFO all that will do is line ccp's pockets as more alts will needed to circumvent this. And the noobs will still be crying. Your argument is the same as the buying of skill point and if your idea is implemented the wealthy in rl will be the only winners.
ie xyz > how many account do you have, abc > oh i have 60 x 3 xyz > Dam why so many, abc > because i'm in a PVE alliance and we need to cover all the stations/systems we run missions in. xyz > why? abc > war dec's

Dude work it out i've several acounts so might you? ccp says it has 300k suubscribers but in realtiy in my estimation its only around 120k unique users. Great for ccp to be able to boast we've got 600k subs but its still only 120k unique users. How does that increase the new player base and help grow the game?

Its so fun reading the players' facts about EVE, seeing ofcource they always knows more than the company itself!
CCP have - through forums and QEN - said that aprox. 20% of the game base holds 2 or more accounts, with the major part of those 20% holding 2 only!
Besides, what does it matter? Other online games have this too! I had for example 5 accounts for a while on SWG during its golden period! I know many others have dozens of accounts in WoW! Some of them even trying to form up own raiding parties to ensure the good loot drop for themselves only! And not to mention, its the number of subsciptions thats matter for CCP, because the player pays per subscription not per player!
The debate is a waste really! Just play the darn game!
