I've been told that being solo in a wormhole(doing sleeper sites) is all about passive tanking. In that case I assume amarr would have trouble performing well. Is this correct ?
What amarr ship would be good to solo sleeper sites and what's the highest class that wouldn't be suicide ? Perhaps someone could share a fit aswell ?

use scorch for long range ofc some combat sites might be tricky but faction shoul give you enough dps for scrambling frigs (600+) sig and speed tank ftw.

745 tank and 478 dps stable at all V You can switch the faction heat sinks for T2 heat sinks, depending on if you want to pay 100m for an extra 20 dps.
By switching out the electronic subsystem you can switch the probe launcher for a cap recharger if you're having trouble getting it stable, but then you'll need an alt to handle the scanning.

Here's the fitting I made for a corpmate that was having troubles in C3 and C4.
He was using a Battleclinic w-space fitting that just couldn't cut it, resulting in him losing a Legion when the Tengus weren't even breaking a sweat. After that, he had to warp out sometimes, and keep aligned when some tough waves were triggered.
Now I think he has more tank than the Tengus, and a lot more confidence doing even the hardest sites. Improved his DPS too.
EDIT: He currently uses one True Sansha EANM instead of one Centum A-Type EANM, but will upgrade soon.

This is an impressive fit. Always remember, though, that it will eventually be displayed proudly on someone's killboard. Not saying you won't get a decent return on it before then but it'll eventually die. ** Disclaimer: Author sometimes spell checks but is not responsible for sins of commission, omission, emission, transmission, or submission. When you earn 100 million or more an hour (three of us averages 8 minutes for a C3 site), it really doesn't bother you. Fly what you can afford to lose.

Cap stable without cap booster, it's only there for emergency GTFO situations (I know why these things should fear Pilgrims and there's not much more you can do to give youself a better chance once jumped than have cap to run overheated reps and AB). Swap it for a TC or something if you wish.
You would most benefit from a 14-15km web if solo, and Corpum A-Type repper adds so much tank it's worth it for at least 1, but a cheap t2 fit legion can be great vs sleepers. Fuel Catalyst would be a better prop subsys to fit but chassis's cheaper.
One day Tau, our paths will cross... |

Cant believe you gave away the cheap fit Dan. No-one will be using the faction fit with 2 A type EANMS and 2 A type reps now . . . shakes head. . . It would have been such a good KM too
Since you have put it out there I can confirm it does all c3 annoms without breaking a sweat and the booster can be swapped out for a hacking/code breaker if thats ur thing.

Way overkill for C3's. Slapping faction after faction module on a ship sure is fun, but why spend 3b when 1b will do the job easily? The extra dps is nice, but the extra tank is wasted. Anyone looking to gank a T3 ship always brings a neut anyway.
And the fit your friend was using should tank everything in a C3 even without moving, except perhaps the triple bs spawn in one of the magnetometrics. Even so, you're not supposed to let them hit you anyway since they can hit anything orbiting closer than 20km...
Having too much cash is not an excuse for being stupid

This what i fly in c3's...works like a charm. It has breezed through anything i've asked of it. That spare midslot goes for hackers/analyzers/cap recharger, depending on what we're doing. MWD is mainly there to GTFO, no need to speed tank on this build, most of the time. Plus, this build looks really, really shiny too out there.

Edited by: Daneel Trevize on 04/07/2010 10:29:21 Granted that's the best looking prop mod, but seriously, no perma speed tank, not cap stable without booster? OK that tank's probably required for mag/radar, I don't do them. Edit: greetz to you too, and stop being blue so I can pwn that pimped thing
I mean that last idea of cheapfit+EANMs could maybe work if you know the sig spawn points and speedtank the lasers and then have higher missile resists, but not really with all the webbing to deal with and no faction web range. |

I come up with the weirdest things in EFT...
It'll cost about 2.2B ISK, but it does 698 DPS, and tanks 629 while being cap stable in the time frame of a WH site. There's no web though, so bring a friend... preferably one with more brains than ISK.
Seriously, this ship does with Scorch what my Legion does with AN MF, and my Legion is better at running C3s than any other fitting here.

No trouble for amarr , you have 3 basic ships that can do C3 very easy. And active tanking with armor repairers is more then viable in C3 WH ( highest that I was doing ).
no1 Legion , most expansive but best damage ,tank and speed. ( one armor rep ). no2 Absolution , medium price good damage good tank have drones. ( two armor reps ). no3 Sacriladge , low price , good tank , under average damage can probe or salvage while killing stuff and spends ammo. ( 2 armor reps ). Eternal Will. |

Mobility between wormholes is restricted by mass so BS are not preferred Align times are slow so sometimes that few seconds to GTFO makes the difference BS takes full damage from Sleeper BS due to large signature radius BS DPS is iffy when tracking Sleeper Frigs and if you run into strong RR wave your efficiency will go down

You'll have a fun time getting the capacitor and tank required to last through a C3 site. You'd have better luck with an Apocalypse, but you'd still have to buy faction tanking mods to be able to solo the sites. I used to run them in a Navy Apoc, after I had stopped running them in RR gangs, but before I trained to fly a Legion.
If you try to run WHs in a battleship, you're going to have to deal with a host of other issues (mass, align time, tracking, drone scarcity). Seriously, Cruiser V... just do it already.

Im not sure I agree with this statement.
I have passive tanked C3's (Domi +Sleip Combo, as well as Legion +Domi combo) and found it to not be as effective as active tanking. (unless I just havent run a site that is bad for active tanking?)
I also started out by passive tanking C4's, but couldnt quite handle the 2000 dps dished out by some of the Magno sites. I've since switched to active tanking, and its going much much better. Again - perhaps I havent run into a site where active tanking is a problem? ie: does NOS/Nueting become stronger/more probelmatic in C4's?
