The Hardwiring - Inherent Implants 'Noble' ZET1000 implant gives a 5% reduction in armor repairer cycle time.
It costs around 180 million isk to buy from the market, and i was thinking about getting it...
But i only fly cruiser sized ships. I can fly T3's and all that, i just dont like anything bigger than a cruiser. The command ships are ok i guess... Anyway, to the point.
Are implants like this useful for people who arent flying capitals? Are they even useful for anyone? A 5% reduction in armor repair cycle time cuts a 12 second cycle to 11.4 seconds. For 180 million isk.
Are there any useful armor tanking implants out there For slots 6 - 10. I have a set of +5's in and when it comes between skill training time and armor tank, skills win. Ships explode, skills stay.

I've come out of a fight on top and at 9% structure because of a 3% implant. Every little tiny bit helps

I'm not certain it's still 100% up to date but this is the most user friendly overview of available hardwires.

Do you find you are in situations where your tank is slowly failing?
If yes get it.
If no, then you don't need it (or don't last long enough for it to make a difference)
5% here and there is the difference between winning and losing in some situations. If that isn't the case for you, the implant isn't needed.
I suppose this must be my sig. I'll do something cool with it eventually. |

Happy user of Noble implants here, not for the silly little armour bonuses though, I got them for the hull bonuses. ______________________________________________

The 3% implants are a good cheaper option, especially if you intend to pvp in your boat. While each 3% might not seem much, it all adds up.
An example of a basic armour related implant set from 6-10: Slot 10: Noble ZET 500 3% bonus to armour hp Slot 9: Noble ZET 400 3% bonus to armour repair amount Slot 8: Squire CC4 3% capacitor Slot 7: {situational) Gypsy KNB-50 3% scan res? or EE4 -3% duration energy emission systems {nos, destabilizers} Slot 6: ZET 100 3% reduction in amour repairer cycle time OR a squire PG implant {depending on fitting requirements and what you are running}
The squire PG implants can be very good. Some really nice small ship fittings {my sabre by memory} become possible with it.
