I may be missng something blindingly obvious here, but is there are way of selecting more than one extractor at once and setting them all to a specific cycle?
Once you have a whole load of extractors on a planet, and then 6 colonies to look after, it can add up to an awful lot of clicks for what is a relatively low yield.

No, there's no way (at the moment, anyway) to group extractors together to save on all the clicking, and to stop people getting RSI.
If you think that looking after 6 colonies takes a lot of clicking, wait until you have 15 like me!

If it wouldnt be a lot of clicking to maintain 15 colonies , how much do you think your stuff you extract would be worth ?

It'd be nice if the value of PI materials went up every time someone made a thread complaining about click-click....

Ari - don't out the PI'ers plans, you'll anger them all!
(Seriously, I don't accept a word of this clickfest malarkey - 7 minutes to update 5 planets.)

Well.. i reduced my clicking with 50% by programming my mouse to doubleclick each time i tip my scrollwheel to the left. That made a huge difference since i maintain 20 colonies between 4 chars
But i hope that CCP (for the love of the Amarr-god) makes all the clicking go away. At least let us select all the extractors and then set the cycle-time.

No. CCP Shadow should behave the same way forums do during downtime. Up, but maybe a little slow.

0 ISK for every single PI material in game, just like datacores... no wait...
To be more serious, it isn't that it requires work it is that the work involved is pure repetition and uninteresting. Fundamentally, any collection activity in an MMO is going to involve repetition but the key to making it a game and not a job is to make the repeditive element something stimulating and not just mindless.
Even if CCP doesn't care if managing PI is fun, doing this as a way of making it take effort can only backfire by giving macroers an opportunity to make bank and lower prices anyways even as the rest of us deal with clickfest. At least with mining you can try to identify players who are using automation. With PI you can do all the repetition docked in station.
