CCP Claw, quick question

The question is, why exactly does it actually take a long while to get the tourney prizes made up and given in game? Is there a legit problem with creating and rendering the models of the ships? I'm just struggling to work out why this is big deal every year. Thanks and I appreciate any response.

Its the same with most things with CCP They love the good PR - but dont follow it up Same with CSM - new york times articles, interviews with the bbc ... AND 300 issues outstanding for them to action with no resources allocted Moral of the story - stop subbing a couple of accounts with a view to monitoring their behaviour in future - If its still bad - take a month break with all your accounts and ramp this up untill they behave or go bust.

Last year, the problem was me being busy (taking 3 weeks out of your day job builds up a lot of work) and not handing the prizegiving off to someone fast enough. That was my fault. And if you want to go back to the previous year, the delay was that the monument for the tournament victory was not actually in-game until way after the tournament had finished. This year there was no real problem. There were some communications between the team captains back and forth; these mails are not always replied to immediately by players or by myself, which results in some delays. Then there were queries about who would get the ships and what we would do if the captain, CEO, etc decided to keep them. And so on and so forth. All in all, despite the fact that an evemail was sent the day after the tournament finished regarding this, there have been some things that needed to be cleared up first, and on top of there being plenty of other things to do post-tournament this means it has taken some time. I wanted to make sure that the manner of delivering a prize of 50x incredibly expensive ships to an alliance was correct, and that's not something I consider a waste of time. All in all, it's a little bit surprising the reaction that people have to this. The delay is not huge, and I would expect alliances to know that their members are in contact with me. Of course there's no accounting for bad forum posts even when there are still things going on behind the scenes. Long story short, prizes are being delivered, and people need to....calm down.
