I have just been ripped off by someone who said he was selling a navy bs, ended up as a normal one.
How much would cost to hire a merc corp to get this guy for me. What can be done, youd kill him or hold him to ransom and get my money back.

Chances are it is a specific scamming alt that never undocks the tradehub he/she resides in. Spending more isk on it than you already have would probably be a waste. Just suck it up, learn the valuable lesson from it and move on. ^_^
p.s. sorry merc corps

Edited by: Gladys Pank on 11/07/2010 23:28:01 So you want to spend money to get your money back. It's not going to be anywhere near as cheap as you probably think it will be. This is even after you establish if the person that scammed you is an alt that likely never undocks in anything larger than a noob ship.
Best thing to do is learn from your mistake and get on with it.
Edit: Ran beat me to the post

Scammer alts rarely if ever undock. Any ISK gained is passed to other toons and any articles requiring transfer are done via courier. It is a simple matter to have a few toons across a couple accounts in trade centers pausing training on account mains only long enough to get a few contracting, etc. levels trained.
There are possibilities for tying a scam alt to a main through careful studie of contract history corp history, standings etc but very iffy.

Send me a name in-game and 500mil, and I'll see to it that he gets what he deserves. Don't listen to these other people trying to protect their scamming alts.

This, too, has happened to me. I learned, though, how to track these bastards down and kill them. I can hunt them down for 350m. I can tell you how to do it too, but for 100m extra. After all, once the secret is out, I'll no longer be needed to hire myself out on these contracts.

Do not listen to this man. His methods are sloppy and the results are limp.

I can get you your isk back for the low low price of 200M isk. Deposit this amount in to my wallet along with the name of the scammer and I will 'have words' with them.

These are feeble and thinly veiled attempts at getting your money. Don't listen to them.
I will, however, take you under my wing, guide you and help ensure you have the proper tools to never get caught up in a scam again. I only charge an even 1B ISK, and offer a money back guarantee.
Cheers, mate. Look forward to doing business with you!
