I would like to know what people think of having the ability to save your ship setup, thus if you have a certain number of setups for different situations/enemies you only have to press one button and it replaces your current ship setup with the saved one? Your Miner II perfectly blows up in its mount, wrecking for 900000000 damage. |

that would be too cool..
esp if we could save the templates client side.. we could write the setups ahead of time..but i imagine due to skills and grid modules... that might present issues.. and keeping them server side would prolly lag up the servers a bit more than needed.
either way there would have to be alot of checks going on..ie does module exsist, if so, does the ship have the grid/cpu to fit it etc etc..
i've longed for this option..but i think it would load the servers more than needed... but if it doesnt.. i'm all for it..

How about an ability to equip/unequip from/to a cargo container?
Say we have one container labeled "Mining" and another labeled "Combat" and our BS is equipped for mining. We would right click the Mining can, select Unequip, and it would toss all of the modules on our ship into that can. Then we right click Combat, click Equip, and it would attempt to fit every module in that can. Obviously if you have more/less modules in the can than you can fit, it wouldn't work right... but if you're not a total idiot you could use this to save a ton of time and have 4-5 sets of equipment... Say "Anti-Frigate" "Anti-Cruiser" "Anti-Battleship" "Mission" "Mining"

This is why I maintain duplicates of most of my ships.

good idea. I'd love to see this implemented. ----------------------------------------------- "I am watching you through a camera" - Artie Ziff
