I remember seeing a couple of threads awhile ago about Stain NPC. I'm thinking of moving my corp out there but was wondering if anyone could offer some insight to what groups/coalitions are currently occupying NPC Stain?
What are the hot systems? Is there still a partial NRDS thing going on? Any information is appreciated. Thanks,

The overlord and supreme master of Stain is Aaron of Eternal Ascension who rules from his Citadel in UF-KKH with an iron fist. His fleet of more than 100 Titans bring NRDS justice to every corner of the Stain region, and no mortal man may slay him. His dominion extends the entire length and breadth of Stain region, although his power be greatly diminished beyond the frontiers of the realm. His alliance contains a swarm of over 9000 followers, who will swarm his enemies like a swarm of locusts. With autocannons. FEAR HIM!

It's all red. Everyone and everything will shoot at you.
General layout based on my last visit.
Eastern Stain bordering to Catch is used by AAA and their pet corps. Somewhere between the Catch/Stain Border and down to 4GQ, Some random alliances hang out. They mostly do ninja-ratting from what I understand and fight Stain Empire and friends for the most part.
The middle of Stain is controlled by Stain Empire. They are allied with COVEN and have a nice little thing going on in 4GQ and down into Esoteria. They often send out roaming gangs into Brick space. Also, their pet alliance "Stainless" hangs out close by.
Next corridor (37s area) you usually have Peanut Factory (Brick) corp. They have recently moved into the constellation that Burn Eden used to occupy (the deadend one). Previously 37s was their hangout place. Other than that, nothing particular on mention.
In the A4UG area, you have COVEN and some allies having fun. They annoy Brick once in a while but else they aren't doing much except when Legion Romana, or whatever their name is, drops by together with SYSK. The deadend constellation that U2- leads into is controlled by brick. Brick are fairly inactive unless they get contested. This was usually seen when Red Eye corporation (or something) tried to move in. They failed and now brick are probably back doing their thing in HED-GP. (Brick main constellation this one)
Next constellation (UKYS chokepoint system) is fairly quiet. There are sometimes bricks passing through, LR pokes their head through or SYSK hangs out with a few members in the station. Mostly though, it's COVEN running some POSes in 0-7 system if I remember correctly. Leading down into the deadend constellation in this area, Brick hangs out as well. It's usually a single corp hanging out there, Delibrium Natura or something, can't remember and cba to check ingame.
Then moving up north you have a mix of Warped Aggression and Legionara Romania (name again, I don't remember the exact spelling) having fun in the northern constellations. I'm not sure if they are hostile towards each other as I haven't spent much time there.
The most southern constellations I'm not totally sure about. Red Eye might be there along with Stainless in more numbers.
Hope this helped.

W-Q pocket is normally Debitum Naturae frolicking in the dried tears of the long since dead Klingons ;)
Realistically it's a pretty hostile territory and the logistics to get stuff out there is also pretty nightmarish which means those who do live there are more competent than most.

Stumbled upon this thread...
I'm no diplo, but we are not friends with Leguina Romana, but we are however, blue with Romanian Legion.
Romanian Legion is made up of corps who left/got kicked out of LR.
I don't know what happened exactly, but needless to say RL is very hostile towards LR, they blued everyone that was red to LR to be able to focus on kicking LR's ass.
I'm no rocket scientist but I believe LR/SYS-K are supposed to be some kind of gatekeepers to IT space, because they are renters/pets of IT.
This split within LR has forced the "stain corps" that remain in LR to move further south and into the area of the Period Basis entry point.
And no, we are not NRDS.
Please drop by we need more ships to shoot at. -

Easy mode, go north, sign up with almost anyone that you see. Go run missions in the depths of the North unhindered by blues (only red tape).
Forget south with this level of understanding shown.

lol, not really playing much these days. everyone in stain is NBSI, if it is your desire to be NRDS contact Last Rites, or Dracvlad, Ill be looking to start playing eve again in about a years time, i believe all the haters will have either moved on or quit eve.
Its gonna be a cool project as it is still one of my desires to open up npc space. I want to make it a big adventre filled with excitement. good luck and fly safe.

I spent 3 weeks in Stain. Got there via Worm Hole, eventually left through one.
Hostile region, yes. The area just outside of Esoteria is not highly populated though and I saw lots of names "roam" through there. Occasionally mercs too. The "residents" are predictable: they will try to camp you into station even when you are not docked, and they never noticed combat probes on their D-Scanners. Still for that they sent six guys out to hunt for one T1 battle cruiser.
(you see, your presence will cause their macros to dock up, and when their money makers are not making money, or they come back from that soccer game and see their ratter docked up, they get kind of mad - you will learn how to smack talk in Russian).
If you move your corp out there, expect to learn PVP very fast. I would imagine that if you are not part of a big crew, you have no backup, but alone, I survived out there well enough. Amazingly, truly secure players who are not carebears in 0.0 residents' clothing (read: not afraid of you) will talk to you and offer advice. You will need good skills to take down Sansha battleships (good DPS, tank for them), and good intel to move about. Just about every survival tip applies.
As a corp, though, you could be specifically targeted by adjacent renters/pets. I recommend that you not try an office out there. You cannot wage a 2nd generation style war against a superior force, but 4th Gen asymmetric warfare using good tactics will keep you from getting blobbed by bored campers and keep some ISK and loot rolling in. Just don't centralize and don't do what the enemy thinks they predict you will do. Stay scattered, train your crew on how to operate alone first, then in pairs, and then modular to work in teams of 4, 6, etc, and have the ability to gang up fast and disperse before the local spike appears.
(Expect lots of hate, lots of Babblefish usage to translate all that smack, and lot of high-sec counterparts wardeccing your corp if you keep high sec elements).
You will have fun.

Stain is by far the finest low sec in all EVE. The locals (AAA and pets) are friendly and highly prone to getting ripped up solo. They use really obvious bait and usually have the back up too far out to save it. Their catcher bubbles are poorly placed and HM-UVD is the Tengu capitol of EVE. Seriously there are always at least six in local.
PVP can be had if you leave your cyno unattended or allow yourself to be outnumbered 6 to 1. Otherwise you may expect smack about blobs while they blob you or trash about killing ratting ships in your pvp fit. (Regardless of weather or not that actually is your pvp fit.)
The highest honor in stain is to be labeled 'Vagrant'.
Have fun and remember Drek is always NRDS.. or that other one, there is an N though.

That pocket used to be one of our (IT) staging grounds, a place to rat in, to pew pew vs Bricks and to generally hang about.

I noticed you can smacktalk in English over there and most will understand it too.

Translated: there's one really worth and trafficked "hub" station smacked in the middle of the region and if you set your tent there expect to be double bubbled for ethernity or longer :D
