how accurate is my location button from google maps for you ?
25km away for me :)

Google maps still has my old Nissan 300ZX TT fairlady on the drive of where I live. That satillite photo is at least three years old. My Fairlady more was reliable most women have been to me

Zoom in on the blue dot.
For me, it puts the blue dot in the park across the street from my house.

Same here except I'm a viking, maybe geolocation doesn't work on us either?
The results from other services varies, last time I checked my location was off by 10 or 700 km  depending on which ones I tried.

it tries to find my location but I don't get a blue dot or anything

If I turn on my wireless adapter and use Google Chrome, it gets the location pretty much right. Without wireless or in Firefox, it cannot determine my location.
