Building off the "Change one line in a film..." thread, here's another in the same vein. Examples:
- -
Bond: "Goldfinger! Do you expect me to talk?"
Goldfinger: "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"
- -
Long-winded assassin: "...but I've had plenty of time to learn to shoot with my left hand. And now I've got you exactly where I want you."
(Gunshots)
Tuco: "If you're gonna shoot, shoot! Don't talk."

The Princess Bride: My name is blah blah (yea it's been a while), 18 years ago you murdered my father (probably a bit more here...), now! Prepare to die! Said murderer poses ready with his sword, then turns around and runs away. ------------------------------------------------ I've always owned Kehmor, cheap as chips off Ebay

The only one I could think of when I read this, It's more of a physical action rather than a line.
The scene from raiders of the lost ark when the guy is twirling his sword menacingly at Indy, then Indy just looks at him and whips out his revolver and shoots him point blank, when instead of getting into a big fancy fight scene. lol

A bit of trivia: That guy trained for months so he could do a fight scene in the movie. At the last moment, Harrison Ford, uncomfortable with his own performance, ad-libbed the gunshot.

Hahaha, that's cool, I never heard that before. makes it all the more funny when you remember that the guy with the sword really looked like he knew what he was doing.

Actually, if you read some of the interviews done over the years (an Empire one stands out in my mind) Harrison Ford was so ill with dissentry that him and Speilberg wondered for ages how to shoot the complex fight scene (that they had indeed practiced for weeks) without Harrison doubling over in agony and very possibly sh***ng himself.
In the end Harrison said "Why doesn't Indy just shoot the f***er?" to which Speilberg replied "Perfect!"

I forgot about that one, which is probably the best example, even though I own the DVD box set.
And the interviews in the box set confirm the story about the disentery... dysintery... the runs.

So... I wasn't too far off. I said he felt uncomfortable and so he did.

I like the scene in the three musketeers movie where some guy on a boat waves his swords a lot, the musketeer imitates him in a sarcastic way and then knocks him out or whatever it was.

Braveheart. Where the crazy Irish guy saves Wallace from the scottish conscript who nearly assassinates him with a neatly thrown sword.

I just watched Shrek again (the first one). I think that whole movie is a contradiction of long-standing fictional clichÚs.
Of course, so is The Princess Bride.
