Right I'm not here to sell, or buy any thing (yet), just to gauge interest in a possible IPO that I may, or may not offer to the general EvE population.
Beife outline:
I sell 400 share in my corp, these pay a dividend equal to 25% of the net profit my corp makes every month (spread across all shares of course). The shares would not be refundable, but they would be sellable to other players, dividends would only paid to those who hold shares at time of payment.
Shares would be 6.25 million isk a go, for a total IPO of 2.5 billion. Business plan is confidential (niche market so don't want my monopoly poached, thank you very much) but involves using the invesment to grow operations.
Shares "last" for the lifetime of the corporation, always paying out their dividends which should grow substantially over time as corp profits rise. Average ROI/Share/Month would be in the range of 9-12% increasing over time.
Corpcan buy back share from investors holding them at original purchase price by placing a buy-back order with one months notice at which point any diviends stop, even if you dont return the shares.
Ok, so thats a nice outline, rip it apart.
This will probably only be offered to a handful of people, but if interest is enough and my plans scalable enough I could theoretically expand the IPO out to around the 20 billion mark.
Note: I know I have not given much info and nor will I be at this stage.
Thanks for your time.

From your text i gather you are alredy in this business.
getting an audit, and having the auditor confirm would probebly help attract investors

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I am in the business already and am looking at avenues of expansion, out side of re-investing the profits.
An audit would of course be supplied if the IPO were to go out the the publc.

As far as I hear, people are craving more IPOs. So there's probably (some) interest, pending more information about the business plan. Audit is always a good idea, as well. Both before and during.
And the must-ask question: Why not just run a bond? 25% (or less, even) on 2.5b for a fixed amount of time, instead of having it run indefinately.

I may be interested in a few shares, but as others have mentioned without more info investors may be wary of shelling out their isk.

While the idea in general isn't bad be prepared for the following
1. audit 2. being called a scammer 3. revealing more of your business (exact details do not have to be revealed, just a general idea of trade, manufacture, research, ect..) 4. being called a scammer 5. standing up to constant abuse from others 6. being called a scammer
Pending more info and at least an audit I might be interested as well.

I am going in vacation later today, so unless you are already setup, you might have some issue at finding readily available auditors ATM. Imho you should reschedule the IPO at Sept 1. - Auditing & consulting

Thank you all for your input.
I think I have got a good idea of the requirements to put an ipo together. I wont be putting it out to the public immediately as I have some interested private parties that may suit better.
Many thanks

So the last one holding the share just lost how much he paid for it? (Assuming their price grows, of course.) Or am I missing something?

Ah, nevermind - I interpreted that as "at the original issue price".

The corporation will not re-value the shares, they are not NAV linked as far as we are concerned, so their value will always stay the same. The reason I have put in a clause to allow people to sell the shares on is so they can liquidate their investment, with out taking ISK from the operation, thus not harming the profits for other share holders.
The corporation would take no responsibility for the sale of shares to other players, thus we would only buy them back at the original 6.25 million isk sale price. It would be up to the person buying the share to weigh up the risks involved, though we would give one months notice of share buy back, and pay out a final dividend to who ever was holding shares at that time
I don't want to offer this as a bond (even though that would be more cost efficient in the long term)as I feel an IPO will better benefit not only the copration, but also those people who are willing and brave enough to invest. A short term bond only offers a fixed return on their investment. I would offer a growing return on investment, with no upper limit and hopefully in the process make some decent business contacts for future projects.
