If you are a gang leader u can tag objects with numbers and letters, whats this for and how do you get it to show up as being tagged for other pilots in your gang?

Do you have to be ganged for tagging to work? Sometimes I'd love to number things in the order I'm going to deal with them, but nothing happens when I tag them

Have a gang with yourself, just gang someone random,ly from local and either kick them out your gang if they join or just have a gang when they don't.

From the patch notes:
When a gang member disconnects, if he is the second to last member of the gang, the gang now disbands.
