Wow lotta Bitter People in here.....
i dont really see the problem here, Blobbing as so refered to as the outnumbering of the enemy, to gain a tactical advantage is a logical plan of action. Though usually countered by Hit and run Guerilla Tactics, that focus on picking off the weak/slow in the fleet/group.
If a Super Gets Tackled by 23 people, and they are in a reasonably short range of the North, one cannot deny that there will be a large group of pilots coming from their respective homes to get on the KM. Now on the Flip side, if the NC. was to tackle a super with a small gang, noone can deny that there would be a surge of pilots from x-7 to kill it, before it gets saved. Either way this is not blobbing this is escalation of combat. For both side have the goals, and both side would have the same goal if the roles were reversed.
Tackled Supers Side: Rescue/ Break Tackle before, more arrive or Ship dies. Tackling Side: Do enough DPS/ Hold the Field against the enemy side till the target is dead.
By my learned definition of 'Blobbing' you must surpass the enemies numbers in equal or larger size ships by a fair margin, and continue to push for more. As in enemy has 40 and 5 logistics, Friendlies will probably push for >5 Logistics and 50-60 Friendly Ships, this way mitigating the losses to their side, while not overly overwhelming the enemy fleet completely.
I cant say i enjoy mini's style of argument cause it has alot of biased and assumptions.
As per running, If your a CR gang and the Enemy is LR, if you cant get a probe on them or catch them at a gate your chances are slim of winning so retreat is a valid tactic. Vice versa if your LR and the enemy is CR, and they are constantly probing you down or catching you on gates Retreat is also a valid tactic. If your Fleet has no logi/RR support and their Fleet is Logi/RR heavy, and numbers are pretty equal or they out number you, Retreat is a valid tactic. Same situation as above but you out number them significantly, if you can't Volley through their Reps, Retreat is a valid tactic.
and please dont say that only the NC and the SC blob, everyone blobs. From the tri/init 50 man dramiel gangs that were killing small roams of 5-10, to the NC's 50 man fist Roams. Everyone does it cause if you have more numbers you will have less losses, because finishing a fight where both sides are decimated is really a win to neither side because their ability to continue fighting is negligible. As in 20 vs 20, winning side is left with 2 cruisers and 1 logistics ship, losers are all destroyed. Unless the winning side can complete their objective with their now 3 man gang, it wasnt exactly a victory, and if the enemy succeeded in decimating the attackers gang enough that their fleet cannot proceed then that is not exactly a loss even if they do lose all their ships. This is the simple reason why, everyone will always blob if theirs an objective to be completed.

OMG!! What have you done!? It was only dead for a couple months! Why would you do such a thing? You don't raise dead threads. They shamble around and look to eat brains and soft tissues from live people. Shame on you.

Since when does NC fight outnumbered?
Curious also, just a few nights ago it was about 250 of them vs a gang of 37 of us and after we loled them they ran away? -------
