A few of my Corp mates and I have been getting missions with considerable rewards (several million isk and 10k+ lp) for contraband items. The difficulty is that these missions are located in 0.5+ space, where there is considerable customs presence. So, the question is, are there any current methods for transporting contraband through sec space? I've been experimenting with using a cloaking device, but have yet to test it with contraband due to how common decloaking via the 2km limit occurs. Any help on this would be appriciated.

there is a way around it but you can only hold 10m3 worth not much i know but im looking forward to a smugglers can of some sort to fool customs
You cant beat Death But you can make the bastard work hard for it

there is a way around it but you can only hold 10m3 worth not much i know but im looking forward to a smugglers can of some sort to fool customs

not sure probley... There must be some way around customs if theres not it wouldnt make sense

Well I heard rumor that they intend to introduce smuggling skills/mods eventually... but with the whole 'Soon' thing, it could be march before we see those.

Why do you think this?
I personally think CCP introduced contraband without *any* way to smuggle it. A claw that enters warp in under a second and uses instas isn't quick enough to byass customs, so speed doesn't work. A covert ops ship with cloak gets scanned, so cloaking isn't the answer. Normal cans/secure cans/ships/courier packages all ret recursivly scanned, so that isn't the answer.
Everyone who smuggled contraband previously used ship-in-ship... this was an exploit. CCP refuses to confirm it was an exploit, and wouldn't ever publicly say it was a bug, but they patched it. I think customs is meant to work like CONCROD, ie: if you get around them you are guilty of exploiting.

Having no (legal) way of smuggling ATM - since CCP fixed the shuttle exploit - means that all the many, many contraband-based missions and offers are broken. Just another sign that Exodus was rushed out before it was ready. I'm sure rolling out the smuggling-related skills is on CCP's 'to do' list, but that's a pretty big list I'm guessing...

Some players, like my self have that skill, Contraband skill. Doub that this skill will help anything atm. |

Some players, like my self have that skill, Contraband skill. Doub that this skill will help anything atm. |
