So i've been checking out Cosmos, after hearing it come up in conversation recently, and after hearing that a couple recording artists I'm fond of were involved in the soundtrack..
I must say, what a beautiful thing to watch. There's a lot to laugh at (both intended and non-intended humor), and a lot of hack science but man, I just feel good & excited about life and stuff when I watch it.
Anyone else in on this? If not check it out... it's about... everything, really.. the universe and our place in it and vice versa... blah blah blah
ALSO: it seems that the video is really fuzzy and has visual issues, I guess that's how the original tapes were (?). It just adds to the experience really, but I was wondering if it's definitely like that for everyone or if you've got different versions that look better. (no, I didn't pirate mine, I just didn't expect a "remastered" dvd set to look like that)

This was my favorite tv show ever. It really got me interested in science when I saw it as a kid. I recently watched a few episodes on the internet, and it's still good as an adult.
As for fuzziness... I don't remember seeing that. Sounds like your dvds are defective.

For Netflix members who have not seen this series yet, all the episodes are available for instant streaming (computer, Roku, Xbox, Wii, PS3, pick your poison).
Some episodes that are out of date were updated years later with new scientific discoveries by Carl Sagan himself, before he passed. For the most part though, it is relevant and a good watch.
