After much tribulation I finally spied a cargo worth hitting:
A PAIR of PLEX cards. \P/ And a half dozen or so hulk bpc's and associated goodness. It started great-I found the cargo. And immediatly realized that our shooter was not in position. He assured me "It will be O.K"
I was positively in a panic on comms. The target was three jumps out of jita and I realized he was on autopilot. Then:
darius uses "FC BUMP"
It's Super Effective!!!
Victim used Auto-Pilot
It failed!
Victim died!
Congrats to the team involved. If you find the brick killboard, look up ?a=kill_detail&kll_id=49299

As to the first one to gank a plex, I would LOVE to know if it was true. I worked very hard, many hours to be among the first to gank one and have it drop. I lucked out getting two

Yes the kills are real I swear, API verified.
The best kill on our board atm is 26 Bn Obelisk kill 2 weeks ago-guy had a station inside it.
And the guy who posted the "you can't carry PLEX's" is clearly troll or idiot ;)
Anyone have any evidence of someone else ganking a PLEX? Very curious to know if/when/how many people lose them.

What difference does it matter.
A plex only has value of say 350 mill.. this is no different to anytihng else that has a value of 350mill and people don't normally quit over a 350mill loss, so its no different.
Mind you i say good work on ccp for increasing their profits.. think about it, how many plex's will get blown up, thus meaning something that have received real cash for and dont have to give anything in return IE game time.. So lets say 1000 plex's blown up, that means someone/somewhere has to buy 500 real game cards to cover the game time lost.
So for that i take hat of too ccp for coming up with a pure easy money earner.

Way to read stuff that isn't there. He clearly said "plex" and not "anything worth more than 300m". There's really not much reason to undock with plex unless you're trying to make money trading across regions.

What I ment with Darwins Law (of natural selection) is that the people dumb enough to not realise there is no reason AT ALL to undock a PLEX, and emoragequit over it, should not be playing a game like EVE.
The only reason to undock a PLEX is so you can trade it somewhere where people are willing to give more isk for it, after buying it at a place where people want less for it.
In all other cases you can redeem the ETC > PLEX in the station you want to sell it at.
So yeah, if the dude payed RL money for it, he's dumb.

To clear things up-Darius III did NOT shoot the victim, he arraigned his death. The shooter (in the mail-who I implore to Post here) flawlessly caught and killed the guy. Not only did he get there in very timely fashion, he also didnt let me have a nervous breakdown while we set up the kill. I was having an "episode" waiting to get the hit off.

Exactly. I've run around with Drake BPOs before, and those by themselves are worth more than a PLEX. It's just the stigma that's been attached to PLEX from never being a physical object, and CCP mentioned this in their decision to change it.
