Fun story..
so i met a girl once..
awesome & pretty lady of my dreams that i've been talking to for a long time, been making some neat plans and such, and keeping in touch via lamebook and IM since we live far apart.
i've been seeing photos of some guy turn up once in awhile that friends tag her in and whatnot. He was old and she's in the photography/art world. So I figured he was just her boss or a colleague or something.
Turns out she's dating some old famous photo dude. It's kind of a weird and gross feeling.
He's like 3 times her age.. I'm not the kind to think it's weird or whatever, but now that it's hitting closed to home... maybe I am!
weird? or am i the weirdo?

That's weird, and yes you're a weirdo for liking someone that weird... art is a dead end

Sounds more like you're feeling vexed at her dating someone else when she should clearly be dating you.
that's never a nice feeling either, after all.

Maybe a little of that exists, but I knew she was dating someone. The weird feeling came from finding out it was this old dude who is apparently well known. I don't think the who he is is the part that mattes, it's just the old bugging me I think.. I don't know why, I'm pretty open minded.

Well, let's hope some young bloke will envy YOU in a few decades in a similar way.
Guess it's time to move on or something.

Pretty much. Add 8 years to her and a few to him.

28 and 62+ is quite odd indeed... but that's a bit over twice the age, not nearly three times (he'd have to be over 70 to be twice and a half her age).
Still, I can safely say it's not just you, quite a few others would find it a bit creepy even if it wasn't about them at all.
