Is is possible to change the chat window color (besides the pin and unpin option) ?
What I want to be able to do is change the opaqueness of the chat, or perhaps the background color of the window... is this possible in Eve?
or is there a way to Pin the chat and not have the opaqueness or background change at all ?
Any help is much appreciated,

Hit escape and check the tabs (third tab I think, general settings). Play about with the colour sliders and opaqueness.

I hit escape and went through all the menu tabs and played around with the different colour schemes and it did nothing to stop the opaqueness of the chat windows once pinned. Does anyone know how to turn the opaqueness off please?

Oh, when it's pinned? Misread sorry. That can't be changed.

Well firstly, thats dum...it should be up to the user to decide and secondly the only reason why I pinned the windows was because I was sick to death of spending time putting the windows in the order that I wanted, only to find that everytime I logged back into the game, the game had rearranged them again. How do I keep the chat windows in the order I choose and also how do I stop pvt chat windows opening seperate from the rest of the group? It never did that before Tyrannis came out and its really annoying.

First bit about them moving about everywhere, I don't know but could be to do with your snap settings.
About private chats opening seperately, you can fix this by unpinning and ungrouping all chat windows in the group you want private chats to appear then shift drag them all into a nice group including one private chat window. Should make new private chats default to that group.
Clearing cache actually does resolve some UI issues like these from time to time.
Other than that you will need to write a bug report (for windows jumping everywhere), or make a proposal in the assembly hall for your preferences.

Set 'Snap Distance' to 'Don't Snap' and all windows will happily coexist peacefully.

Ok I set snap to dont snap and I ungrouped all my windows, unpinned them all and then regrouped them all again including a pvt convo by holding down shift while dragging them and grouping them...i logged off and logged back in and all the windows are all screwed again and not in the order i put them in and when i opened a pvt convo...it opened seperately AGAIN. Could someone please help cos im really getting sick of doing this everytime i log in..
