Hi I noticed, and one of my corp mates mentioned, that your standings with a corp will also affect your broker fees.
Is that personal standing with the corp in the station, or will your corporations standings apply as well? So if I have 0 standings with the npc corp and the corp I belong to has 8 standings would I get the reduced tax rate?
Does connections and such apply to those rate changes as well?
What is the percentage change to standing ratio.. e.g. 2 standing will give 25% reduction in taxes.. thanks. (I know for refining you need a standing of 6 to reduce the taxes to zero, but don't know how it works for broker fees)
Thanks.

Player corp standings with NPC entities never lower any fees, they never get you access to any agents, they do not affect broker fees nor anything like that. All those standings are good for are checking for conditions to place jump clones, (highsec) POSes or FW joins... nothing else.

From the two topics posted above it does look like corp standings do affect the broker fees??

Those are "personal player to NPC corp" standings, NOT "player corp to NPC something" standings. Yes, it's slightly confusing when people only say "corp standings", it could mean either one of those two and you have to already know which one it is (use the rule I posted above for the only three cases in which "corp standings" means "player corp to NPC something" standings).

You are confusing personal standings and player corp standings.
You have to grind your own standings to get any benefit from a NPC corporation via standings other than jump clones as Akita stated above. That is the ONLY benefit you as a single player can get from your player corporation having high standings with an NPC corporation.
Have fun!

Ok so if I understand this correctly what I was thinking of doing won't matter then.
I was going to get someone to create a corp that had high standing with the npc corp station that I'm doing my trading in. With my neut standings the player corporation i'd be in would not change.
But from the discussions posted here it sounds like that would do diddly for my broker fees.
Thanks all for your input... saved me a butt load of isky ;-)

There may still be an option for you: I am informed that you can hire mission-runners to gang with your trading pilot and share their mission rewards, including the standings gain. Seems like something that you could use your favourite web search or eve-search.com to find in the Sell Orders forum.
For an illustration of how your pilot standings to the host NPC corporation and NPC faction where you place your orders affects Market Order Broker Fees, see this chart: http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Thoraemond/eve-market-order-broker-fees-20100320.png, though be aware that the formula may no longer be exactly accurate. á á
