At downtime if you have your extractors set for a 3 day cycle (The slowest and worst rate over time extraction) they all reset the timmer and material yet to mine at downtime.
Kinda nice if you never want to restart an extractor, but lame ass if you just set the three day cycle because you didn't think you could log on in that timeframe.
Now there is no way to stop them and they slowly keep digging stuff up without end.
I want my 5 hour cycle back.
I don't want to have to destroy all them extractors and replace with new ones just to brake this "3 Day Cycle" that never finishes!

Strangely quiet on this, are all the peeps not complaining about the clickfest of PI running all their planets on this 3 day cycle that auto restarts every downtime?
Empty all yer launchpads once every 2 weeks and never restart an extractor over 1 main 5 alts and 30 planets?

Do it, if you want. I wouldn't. If you already have to log in every day to empty launch pad, might as well reset extractors at same time.
And if you set up a colony to make use of an obvious bug (besides the psuedo-exploit nature of setting up a colony to use it), there may come a time when CCP fixes the problem and you'll just have to rebuild the colony anyways.
As for getting stuck with such a silly situation - It might be possible to petition it and get a GM or something to end a cycle, but otherwise you'll just be sitting on those worthless extractors till you decide to tear em down and rebuild. ---

I noticed this happen a couple of times to one of my extractors on a 4 day cycle (it's 4 isn't it, not 3?) but not consistently. I suspect it was when I was checking it daily. Try not checking it for 4 days and see if the cycle completes.
