Okay so far i have Darius Shakor and Ashe Raven down as the applicants as judges from the minmatar race. Lord Eidolion as the applicant for the gallente race. And Haratu as a applicant for the amarian judges race. If no caldari citizen can be found I will fill in as the caldari judge. I dont really want to be the caldari judge as you can tell from my standing in the eyes of the state im not a model citizen  .
If anyone else is interested in being a judge for the gallente, caldari, amarr race please ask I would like to have two from each race.

Okay now i just need to hammer out a frame work of rules and how the competition would be judged. Please offer any constructive criticism that you can think of for my following outline of regulations and how it will be run.
Catagories:
For catagories I believe I will set it so we have 1 winner for the best all around piece of literature and sub catagories for recognition of good works because if I offered a 10 mil prize for every catagory I would like to see I would be very poor very fast. If it garners a large amount of publicity and gets the attention of alot of pilots then I could possibly see setting up donoations for further catagoies prizes through the bank account of my illegimate son Badrelgion. (As he has just been partying in station for the last 4 months or so his wallet would be easy to track and make public to make shure nothing was embezzeled)
Rules:
1: no stries that contradict comon knowldge aka if your story has mentions of silly fairytale places like earth, or the tooth fairy, or something equaly preposterous as either of these two it will be imidiatly disqualified.
2: Judges may submit stories but they will not be able to win the cash prize should a judges story win the prize money will go to the runer up.
3: All submissions have to be appropriate enough to be posted on the galnet.
4: All stories must be written by whoever submits them no plagerizm, I know that it will be almost impossible to spot but if you rip off the quafe ultra movie and call it your own you will be banned from any future submissions.
5: people who spam or flame the thread that will be used to host links to the stories or the threads the stories themselves are in for no valid reason will be disqualified from the competition for the month the incident occured or if it is on the last week of that month the following month.
Competition setup:
For the competition I will start a thread with whatever the final name of the award is and month it is for participants will post there stories in the library section and post a link to it in my thread so the stories can be found easily by the judges but not clutter the place up to much. The thread will be started on the first of the month judges will send in there verdicts the last week of the month. On the last day of the month the award ceremonies will be held the verdicts released and the prize given out (might be moved forward on certain months a few days depending on my scheduale).
Okay thats how I've visioned it for now any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Hmm, this is tricky. After all, the Amarr have their religion well documented in prime fiction, but us Minmatar are left to creativity. I guess it needs to be assessed on hor appropriate something presented as mystic is to the story. That should be left in the hands of the judges. OK if a Caldari character submits something about worshiping a money god and placing slips of gold in the idol's ear like a Ferengi then, sure, it's a little silly. But stuff like that cannot be regulated too much. After all, people are free to make their own religion in life. As long as they don't write that every caldari does the same as them or whatever, thats fine by me.

Well, life in inapropriate, but I see what you are getting at. Even links to rude or offensive stories can get a thread in deep heat quickly with the powers that be.
Though, personally, I am leaning more towards putting swear words in my stories lately as they seem to be appropriate in some cases. Though I have no problems with the forum squelching them out. Though the filter does suck baddly. If I say the grand canyon is nothing but a large ***** in the ground, I have to substitute ***** for c.rack. Rather silly.
Other than these foods for thought, I agree with all that was said and am looking forward to some good bedtime reading.

This would be on a individual basis its basicaly to keep completly insane improbable stories from appearing such as maybe someone claiming to trace there ancestry back to a mythical city on the mythical planet earth. A minmatar myth mentioning the mythical planet for example is understandable as it would be a minmatar "myth".
I like the swear words to When I write I use them I dont care if they get filtered you can get the jist with your imagination. If the stories cant be posted on here then the contest wouldnt be able to either as links to the stories would be neccisary and you are not allowed to post links to offensive material hence that rule.

Sorry for the long hiatus. It seems the wiring for my flagships coms relay had some bad wiring. Had to track it down before I could check or respond to the gal net. Some times it makes me miss the days when I flew a tempest a quick strike with a sledge hammer and some duck tape would fix anything. I am going to try to start the first trun for febuary if aspiring judges could eve mail me in game that would be great.

Last up date before the first round of the contest begins febuary first.
I'm taking out this rule I figured the judges will be able to diferentiate the chaff from the wheat otherwise why have them .

Second I have done alot of soul searching and finaly arrived at a name. From now on it shall be known as the Crielere literature award. I have chosen this name because it is my hope that this prize will bring people of all races together at least 1 tenth as much as that wonderful monument of science and racial diversity did and to remind those who are too young to rember it of how even the most bitter enemies can put asside there diferences to work for the greater good.
