Players have a right to vent and rant/rage over things that **** them off about this game. Yet those threads are always being locked.
It's as if you always have to think happy thoughts here...which isn't very realistic.
So how about a rage section?
BTW...for the lulz I created a mirror board. You can post as you wish and you also have the ability to moderate your own threads.
so check it out: http://evealt.freeforums.org/
I'm open to suggestions. _______________________

Rants are not allowed because they are purely rants/whines without any constructive content. Venting is as such not permitted because they dont simply are not constructive in any way.
These forums are for debates, discussions and arguments, all in a civil tone. It is not a trash dump, and as such CCP rightly does lock and hopefully ban those who continously whine, vent, rant and trolls these forums.

100% agree Niccolado. But. It works well on other forums I frequent. The mods can simply move an offending thread to the rants and raves forum where it quickly dies because nobody goes in there and certainly doesn't read any of the rants and raves. After time people stop posting rants and raves in anywhere near the volume they do if they think it will get them a few hrs on the front page of the busy forum/s.

Ranting isn't really constructive. Having over 9000 posts of "IT"SBROKENFIXITNAO!!11eleventyone" points out a problem but having one post of "You have to twist the lid to the right to open this jar of pickles" gives everyone a reason to actually be mad (Lefty loosey Righty Tighty). Plus it assists in keeping the spam down and actual conversation up.
Edit: Ugg that pickle analogy is lame... I should of come up with something better....

Where did these "rights" come from? Is there some sort of angry internet poster bill of rights that I have not seen?

You can probably find a few 'bill of right' if you look in your wallet.

It's called a honey pot Zym. If they have their own section to rant in that is outside the normal forum rules then the places that are for actual conversation will have moar, well, conversation. Think of it as a form of CAOD for eveyone else.

Its also a very useful way for the company to point out they do not censor or impede freedom of expression - they just put it all in 'the right place'. Really most trolls, rants and raves are just attention seeking attempts right? If people get used to that kind of thing being swiftly consigned to a sub forum and not left to attract flame/bumps on the main board they'll soon lose interest imho.

Man I'd love it if there were a rant section. As others said, it'd be a figurative honey pot to attract screamers away from people just want to chat about the game, it'd give the impression CCP let everyone have a say, even incoherently shrieking children..
