1. Game is good no one can argue with that 2. Your customer service and prioritising is ****. 3. Only lemmings argue that the Eve isn't broken 4. Im bored of this now 5. Be nice for an apology, you've done a smashing job at enraging the eve community. finally 6. No vote this year, become more people orientated and get out from behind your screen mores. Actually do something that most of the gamers have been waiting for, for a long time fix the bugs **stop creating content on top of new content on top of new content and the leave bugs** On that note i've been waiting for the Guristas HQ bug to be fixed, you keep toying with me, i find one do the room it esculates but I get no co-ordinates! Apparently it was meant to be fixed 12 months ago! this is what we are so ****ed off about! AND now your devote your time to a FPS for the console N1

If we start ****ting up this thread it will give CCP an excuse to lock it.
Let's keep it on topic and continue encouraging CCP to focus their efforts on fixing known issues and not developing new content. ------------------------------------------ "I used to play Eve Online because I enjoyed how it made me feel, now I play to stop from getting sick." |

The first 30 or so pages has good suggestions and stuff, after the 60 page mark though with no real reply (other then "we're watching") it's going to derail a tad I guess as peoples frustrations build...

Bottom line. While subscriptions increase, the powers thast be will not change thier business practice, and tbh why should they?
Increased revenue is always a good thing.
So what if 400, 500, 1000 older players get cheesed off and leave? as long as new players subscribe even if only for a few months, it's all good for the suits.
It's no longer about a cutting edge game striving for continued excellence. It's about ISK (Icelandic Crowns in this case) generation.
This is the real world people nothing is for nothing when you emerge from the basement into the sudden harsh glare of reality.
Am I happy with the situation? No. Will I be voting for Eve? No. Will I be insulting the Devs and declaring Jihad? Also No. Will I carry on playing? Probably: and there's the reason the developers priorities wont change. |

Almost all EVE players are addicts. Like other kind of addicts like drugs and alcohol or even smoking, they are always claiming they will quit and that it is bad for their health. These statements always come after a shot, drink or smoke. When that effect runs out they need more...they get their fix and state the same again. Always telling eveyrone they will quit.
CCP are getting more subscribers every month, so i think the game is still that good!

The concept behind EVE is awesome. The implementation and maintenance sucks. And there is where we are stuck. We hope for light at the end of the tunnel, for the fulfillment of promises, so we stick around.
But if there had been another EVE-like MMO out there, I'd be out of here.

I have faith that this outrage by the community will get the ball rolling. I could not believe my eyes when viewing this thread, initially at the audacity of the OP (who quite clearly got the short straw) but then the intensity of negative response.
There is no question about the diverse content of this game, and the true sandbox online experience, traits that have kept me occupied for over 5 years. I have however frequently questioned why content already included is not refined, why issues illustrated by the very testers themselves (the players) are not rectified; it is simply on the grounds of common sense that these needs be met before introducing anything new.
It saddens me that the might of this particular game and itĘs historically superior approach to development has been tainted by the thirst for profit.

I'm fairly shocked (ok... more disapointed) that there hasn't been any decent communication to the player base since all this has kicked off.
A dev blog, a news feed, something. Telling us if any of this is actually effecting anything or if it's just being viewed as "a vocal minority moaning"
Did you learn anything from the mass test? How well did it go? Did you get decent numbers? If you'd offered incentives would it of been more of a success? Is there any way you could of forseen this? --
Nothing is worthless, you may have gotten it for free but it still has an inherent value

That is the ONLY reason EVE is so 'successfull' (if this is success then I sure hope no other company strives to be this good). Most MMO's fail because they have nothing new to bring to the world of MMO's and this is where EVE shines but the moment there's a decent competitor you'll see lag disappearing and Jita will never be conjested again.
You think this isn't possible? Look at Serenity and you'll see possibility because it's only a matter of when, not if.

Quote from a corp forum today:
Quote: In <alliance in Stain> sunday CTA was cancelled becouse 90% of active alliance members were playing WoT. I meet there even x, y and z (3 veteran FW players) , even goons have their channel there
That settles it, going to get my WoT beta key and go look what's up there. Sounds like a lot of fun.
P.S. CCP, I do hope you're taking note of the enthusiasm that WoT is generating.

I chose not to vote for Eve Online this year. I see the last few upgrades as breaking many parts of the universe, with little or no action on CCP's part in fixing known issues. I am not planning on rage quitting, although for the last 2 months, my online time has been mostly setting skills and running a few limited missions as time permitted.
My evening free time is going to increase in about 3 weeks, giving me more time to be online, and to be honest... I don't have this great burning desire to play Eve. I am incredibly frustrated with what PI has changed, and also frustrated with how I perceive Eve going down hill since it's inception. I may need to take a break "soon" just to see if CCP get's their act together and start fixing the issues.
Eve is a great game and has held my attention since Beta, but as I have been sitting back and following all that have been going on in the forums, I grow weary of the lack of action (bug fixes, our logs show nothing, macro whatever's, etc...) from CCP. I may or may not be here in a month. 1 or 2 subscriptions to CCP don't mean much to them, but hey... It's my money, my time and my life, I will vote as I see fit.

The primary focus of EVE is working as designed... and yes, I do mean MISSIONS! Go run some missions and turn into a mindless carebear and it will all make sense while all your problems evaporate in that mighty isk faucet!

I'm not leaving, not yet anyway. But as it stands at the moment Eve simply does not deserve to win that award.
Roll back to pre-Dominion and I'll vote immediately, not to mention pod any corp mate who doesn't ----

I don't see why CCP wants to attract more players to the game with shinny features when the servers can't even support the currently player base without ****ting on themselves.
TBH ccp's games are very poor quality compared to other MMO's, I like eve but it would be very nice if a company that had a clue what they were doing would just buy out ccp so someone competent could run this.

You do realise that selling someone something that you know doesn't work as advertised, on the basis of turnover instead of long-term custom, could almost be considered a scam :)
I think people are mostly miffed at the number of things that ccp breaks, then doesn't fix for 1-2 years (e.g. pirate entrapment array still doesn't work) rather than the things ccp put in game then left (complexes/mining etc.) ***The EVE servers and their patches***
