Might just be me, but a new char comes with 2 remaps and can hit higher intel/memory and perception/willpower at seperate times so will train faster than this char on all skills except navigation and drones, but the amount of skills in gunnery, spaceship command, engineering, electronics and mechanics outways those 2 sections by so much that your advantage is lost.
Personally i think you're selling a benefit that doesnt infact exist.

That's great if all you want to do with your char. is train skills that you don't want to use for a year+.
No matter what you will always be stuck with 5 charisma that you don't need for a non-leadership pvp char.
