The other two. . . are just boring. I hate boring people who say boring things. I like my victims to have a sense of style and panache. All in all, though, I'd rather have the ISK.

Also be sure to add a similar line when you do decide to pay the pirate. For example: "Ok, I'll pay up. But be sure to give half to your mother(/sister/girlfriend) because I still owe her big time." I agree with everything Barakkus posts.

If it's not a stupidly lowball offer or some recognizably reputable / roleplay pirate corp I'd rather just have a free trip back to my staging hangar than risk the inevitable convo from 14yos to gloat about both podding and scamming me. That was like stupid, If it was me i would have left the orca in the station and just gone back to the WH in a shuttle or something He lost millions just to save an orca he didnt need to take out of the station anyway. BTW he was gonna take the hulk in and out, the orca was being used as a freighter and could have been left in the nearby highsec area.

If you lose a fight normally, your ship is wrecked and its a loss. I'm not compounding that loss through ISK transfers. Let them make their money off module drops or salvage.

I ransom pods, if I can catch them, and I keep the price reasonable, as even if you have just set of +3s in, 20m is reasonable, and its 20m more than a killmail for your damn pod is worth. Normally, I get replies of the form A) You better never come to XYZABC 0.0 system, B) Some insult regarding my ethics, or C) death threats. Always good for giggles. Space is fun!
