Anyway.
You can sit down, shut up, and take it. In my 5 years of playing, eve is actually playable now. Sure, you get blackscreens on jumpin to big fleet fights. Guess what, it used to be ALOT worse. Sometimes you used to crash a node after killing 35 towers only for the node to come back up, the towers restronted and with perfect hp. Oh, and your entire capfleet was spread around the system at random.
You know, i'd rather have lag induced death fires then having to deal with the ******ed database issues that used to happen. Do any of you remember how horrible it could get? The lag, the failovers, the crashing of nodes repeatedly?
This is nothing. Sure we lose **** when were logged out. Sure we have to cycle our guns manually. Or would you rather every single scrap of dps you put into the enemy count for nothing when the node comes back AND EVERYTHING that was ploded came back in better condition than it started in?
Lag is frustrating, i know. But ccp is working on it, i've seen improvements on my game, Dominion and tyrannis ****ed it in the ass two expansions in a row, so figure two expansions to get it all fixed. This is nothing new for any of you. So sit down, shut up, and enjoy the game in a roaming gang like so many of you claim to want.

Edited by: OmniBeton on 30/07/2010 11:09:25 So you are talking about lesser evil ? Thanks, but no thanks. I dont give a s*** about 500+ fleet fights but when you got lag and trafic control fails while jumping solo from one empty nullsec system to another you know it IS bad.

TBH, you can only say for sure that your system's node is co-hosting another system where something DOES happen.

Ever stopped to think that the server will take resources from empty systems to minimize impact on players in populated systems, and still give more resources to a fleet engagement?
Do you ever think, before you get upset? Or do you automatically assume that everything works exactly how you think it does?

I love eve, doesn't mean I'll put a smile on my face and reach for the KY when CCP bends me over a barrel though. It was good, its got a whole lot worse, and CCPs policy on releasing and pushing out new half-baked features then abadoning them rather than fixing existing content for the next 18 months has made the forum outrage a whole lot worse.

Playing for 3 years now, 2.5 flying & fighting in nullsec and never got lag/trafic control before without larg fleet/gang in vicinity. Maybe that is why I nevet stopped to think about it ? If, like you said, servers start pumping power from low populated systems to highly populated making them BOTH laggy, what will happen ?

I remember when that didn't happen - It was about 30 seconds before they took the servers down to install Dominion.

Oh I get it. So the game is broken..but it used to be even worse so we should shutup?
You are a fu*king idiot. How about...you sit on a cactus and rotate. That is like me buying a car but once I get it home I find out that half the things in the car are not working like the dealer said they would and ontop of that the car breaks down constantly. I take the car to the dealer and he says "Yea well the car used to be alot worse so you should be thankful now gtfo"
Makes perfect sense. Im pretty sure that dealer would be getting a bat to the face from me.

I don't see the logic your arguement. Eve was worse off than it is today, got better, then got worse, and because it was bad it's okay now?
When node crashes occur I've had my 0% hull ship back to full health and in scram range of the hostile fleet on relog. I've had it the other way too. Crashed alive, relog in station. This was 2010, not 2007. The tenacity of Eve players does keep the very basics of 0.0 warfare churning; however, the bugs are getting out of control. In that last part there is no question.
The rage dial needs to be turned down if you, or anyone, wishes to suggest that anyone do anything. Be coherent and ask a friend to read your posts before you make them. This isn't a shouting match. It's a disagreement over the direction CCP has lead us to believe they're taking.
