Edited by: TauTut on 20/12/2004 19:34:26 This mission should have been called 'I'm having a laugh at your expense'
=====================
Treasure from a Pirates Hand Offer Description Another client of mine, which has not been nearly as successful as you I might add, TauTut, recently hit the jackpot. He was hunting a filthy pirate by the name of Kruul, who had recently kidnapped a daughter of a high ranking official of Inherent Implants ... something that this infamous pirate specializes in. To cut the story short, Kruul's ship was destroyed but the girl apparently died along with him. However all was not lost, in the wreckage of the ship a blueprint was found, in perfect condition. Now this client of mine owed me a great debt, after he lost one of my family heirlooms on a simple courier mission a few days earlier. And to make matters worse, he now managed to fail the simple task of saving the damsel from the clutches of that rat Kruul as well. This was totally unacceptable, and when he came to me on all fours begging for forgiveness I threatened to request a formal lowering of his standing towards the Empire, to the point where he would officially be a criminal. Needless to say, the numbskull was terrified and finally offered the only possession of his which was of any real interest, the blueprint off of Kruuls ship. Upon further inspection, I noticed that it was a pristine Maller blueprint. It was adequate to repay his debts. Now that I have this blueprint, I'm itching to give it a try. I have a private factory slot in Nalu ready for use, and all that I need are the minerals. Bring me what I need, and I'll let you have the first Maller that my factory slot produces. This offer expires at 2004.12.27 12:43:53 Offered Items: These items are being offered to you by your agent: one unit of Maller Cost: The agent is requesting the following as payment for the item: ten units of Sansha Brass Tag ten units of Sansha Silver Tag five units of Sansha Electrum Tag three units of Sansha Gold Tag 593884 units of Tritanium 149060 units of Pyerite 39028 units of Mexallon 9357 units of Isogen 2306 units of Nocxium 576 units of Zydrine 145 units of Megacyte 5000 Loyalty Points
=====================

At the current market value of the required minerals in my region - this Maller would cost me: 7,924,844.00 - almost 8 million. I can buy one outright for less than that off the shelf - and if I bartered or blackmailed someone I could get an even better deal.
Seriously - why bother spending all that time coding these loyalty missions when they churn out tripe like this. It's so silly.
At least with the old system everyone got what they wanted. Mission runners got Implants to sell - recently podded monkeys got their replacement implants without having to sell their grandmother and everything in the garden was rosey.
I just can't fathom how this can be perceived as a successful advancement of the game.
Since the most recent patch - the day to day rewards are better - thank you for that - but these loyalty missions are a let down.

Try this one for a rubbish offer: A very special client of mine that I want to keep happy just asked me to procure a Ishkur for him, as well as some items he intends to use with it. He's come to know me as a fixer and I want to keep that reputation. I'm offering you one unit of Enyo if you can get me this stuff as quickly as possible. Do that and I'll get to keep my reputation and you'll keep yours. A reliable, trustworthy pilot capable of handling the trickiest of assignments. Offered Items: These items are being offered to you by your agent: one unit of Enyo Cost: The agent is requesting the following as payment for the item: one unit of Ishkur one unit of FZ-3 Subversive Spacial Destabilizer ECM one unit of Piercing ECCM Emitter I 16000 Loyalty Points
Swap an assault frigate for another? What a waste of time. |

Most offers are crap atm. --------
FireFoxx80: If you think you can do a better job, go find yourself a datacentre to host a box, get a copy of Visual Studio, and STFU. |

According to the devs there are two types of offers:
Bad offers you are meant to turn down. Good offers that are probably exploits and will get you banned if you accept them.

Got that one yesterday. Atm the Ishkur is more expensive than the Enyo if you check in Verge Vendor.
I've br'ed that and I've br'ed getting pedal to the metal from one of my agents for the 7th time IN A ROW with the same offer. Incursus for lp, insignias and minerals.

Ok for you, all I get is drug related offers. My agents all seem to want drugs or want me to buy em 8(
All I really want atm is a way to switch offers off.

The offers are based on NPC prices (or baseprices) not player prices, so sometimes when you see for example an elite frigate for another elite frigate which costs less on the player market, it's actually the opposite if you consider the baseprice. The fact that players decide item X is worth Y ISK does not mean the agents will take that into account.
Alot of the offers were 'pre-nerfed' before release though and will be coming down in price eventually. This includes the crafting offers.

Not all offers are bad. My latest was 78,000 loyalty points, and a handful of dogtags in return for : 1 unit of gallente navy medium blaster (of some sort)
Although i compared this faction item, to a medium 'modal neutron particle accelerator (best med t1 blaster in-game), and the faction item was barely half as good as the named one. I dunno what is goin on here. Nonetheless i am continuing in my lp buildups, currently reached 100,000 , so the nice offers should start coming soon :)
