Considering that I saw a 4.6m sp miner yesterday go for like 1.7b, then no... 2.5b does not sound anywhere near good.
Cheers tho :)

Your character is not a miner, and most combat chars around your sp go for around 2-4 billion. Good luck.

Edited by: Verimal on 31/07/2010 12:47:29 That is correct.
However those 20m sp combat chars I see go for around 3-4b are not focused at all, usually they don't even have cruiser 5, don't have support skills at 5 etc - this have it all at low sp. Usually they also have some wasted skill points in industry, science etc.
This is 99.9% focused on amarr hac, recon and bc (the 0.01% = caldari frig - I fail)
However as this is a PC - thank you for your opinion, but I for sure wouldn't sell it for the price you suggest - so if that's what ppl will pay, then I won't sell myself :)
Cheers

Well, your character is good, there is no arguing that.
But your portrayal of other chars around you sp level is a little skewed. Your character doesn't have BS, any drone or missle skills of note, any social skills (which means pure pvp, good for pvp'rs, but the second your corp asks you to grind some missions for standing=groan), TSM only at IV? And your training up Gallente drone specialization? Did you choose this particular day to loose focus and start training things that don't make sense?
Highest I would go is 3 bil, if you branched out a little and made this char a little more round he would be worth a whole lot more, but right now, eh.

Edited by: Verimal on 31/07/2010 13:14:12 Well - again I guess its value depends what you are looking for. It sounds like you look for a good all around char, wich this is not indeed. This is higly focused Amarr sub bs pvp char. This also explains obviously why there is no bs skills and no social skills. And tbh - TSM at IV is fine - imo spending 17 days training it to 5 is not worth it yet (only reason I trained it on my main back in the days was as it was needed for cap shield tank)... more important skills to train first.
And saying training Gallente doesn't make sense, eh? Gallente and Minmatar drones are the most used drones (light and medium), and drones are the primary dps source for amarr recons - so getting spec skills for those to 4 makes very good sense in my opinion (better dmg). So I'm not loosing focus at all - you just don't seem to see the point of this char.
Again thx for putting your price on it :)

There are other drone skills that make Tech II worth while, but this isn't a skill discussion. Its a good char, if you put it on auction you might get more if you advertise it for the specific PvP role you have trained (and not just listing ship classes). Just some advice.

Nice char, never traded chars before so would hestitate to suggest a price, but I have some simple suggestions for improvements which fit in with the Recon ship / PvP plan. Train the following skills to at least III, you have the prereqs and it will only take a few hours each, far more useful that 2% damage for T2 Medium Lasers:
Combat Drone Operation Drone Durability Drone Navigation
EM Armor Compensation Explosive Armor Compensation Kinetic Armor Compensation Thermic Armor Compensation Nanite Operation Nanite Interfacing (Req Nanite Operation III)
Fuel Conservation
Thermodynamics
As far as TSM V goes ??? If that means Tactical Shield Manipulation, rubbish! You only need IV for the T2 Hardeners, V is virtually worthless and certainly not worth 17 days of training.
You are spot on with Minmatar and Gallente Drone Specializations when it comes to scout drones. The other two racial specialisations are only worth considering for Sentry Drones and higher, as is the skill Drone Sharpshooting.

First, thx for the offer Matt, but I will wait another month or so before I consider to sell it - still a few skills I wanna train on it to up the value a bit :)

Hehe, yeah true... 2% on med beams isn't much, but I just like to have most skills on 4 instead of 3 (and it looks better on the skill sheet) ;)
Thx for the list of skills... most of them was some I had planned to do before I wanted to sell. And yeah I agree about TSM - as stated earlier - only reason I trained it to V on my main was as cap tank required it back then (chenged since). And glad you agree on the drones :)
Thx again on some nice feedback :)

I'm not saying that T2 Medium Lasers IV aren't relevant. However, you need to look at the time investment against the return. You currently have no levels in the skills I've listed, they are very relevant to your character and the first 3 levels are trained in a fraction of the time it takes to train the later levels. You could train all 11 listed skills to III in about the time it takes to get T2 Medium Laser from III to IV. So instead of 2% improved damage with T2 Medium Lasers, you could get:
+15% Scout Drone Damage +15% Drone HP +15% Drone Speed
+15% Passive Armor Resistances across all damage types The ability to use Nanite Paste and -15% Nanite Paste Consumption +60% damaged modules repair amount per second by Nanite Paste.
-30% Capacitor consumption for Afterburners
The ability to Overheat and -15% damage reduction when overheating.
These 11 skills will significantly round out your character for the PvP scenarios he is already skilled in. Prioritise them, then start going through the longer term skill levels.
Sure Level IV looks good on the skill sheet, but for a PvP character to not be able to overheat or use nanite paste... for an Amarr character to have gimped EANM module skills and basic Drone skills missing, looks far worse.

I totally agree with everything in your post.
However - as stated I'm not about to sell right now - will be at least a month or two before I consider selling. During that period I have planned to train laser spec to 4 anyway. The way I just do stuff is that I train a few skills to the lvl I want them first, and then inject new skills and focus on getting them to the wanted lvls (usually 4 or 5) before getting more skills on the char. Hate having a bunch of lvl 3 skills wich all needs to be trained to 4.
I'm not using the char myself atm, so wether I do them all to 3 now and then 4 or I do one skills to 4 at a time, doesn't really matter
Thx again on the nice and very helpful input :)
