Will likely never happen, but if it did, what do you think they would be? My guess:
Minmatar > Nefantar
Amarr > Ammatar
Gallente > Mannars
Caldari > This one has me stumped, any ideas?
And yes, I agree something like this shouldn't be worked on until other issues are addressed, lets just say this is an exercise in using the imagination.

Hello OP
I think anything that enriches the Eve environment is good, but this post should go to the Suggested Features Forum,

Not sure about bloodlines, but I'd like to see more ancestry stuff. |

Not actually suggesting a feature, but if it got moved I wouldn't complain either.

Why bother, though? Character bloodline and ancestry used to have a meaning, now it's nothing but rp fluff.

This is true, and why I said it would likely not happen, and if it did, would need to come after more important things. But yes, apart from beginning skills in certain frigates, race, bloodline and ancestry are now just rp fluff.

Pirate faction bloodlines would be totally awesome! I'd start a new char if it happened, though those bloodlines should be concorded anywhere in empire regardless of their empire/security standings And their concords would be the local rats coming to their aid should they get attacked in their respective territories and we live happily ever after

That would be pretty cool. Imagine getting a faction frigate as your starting frigate.

You do realize that Nefantar = Ammatar
The only reason to bring in new bloodlines would be of cosmetic/roleplay nature. Bloodlines don't have a function any more in the game itself. Maybe they will introduce new bloodlines when Incarna gets released since they are re-doing character avatars for that expansion, but as OP said, I doubt it would happen (not that I care tbh).

Edited by: JC Anderson on 31/07/2010 12:54:16 They did it already with the Asian bloodlines and everybody complained that the starting attr distribution was unbalanced.
Not saying its true, or whether I even remotely agree. I just remember all the complaining when they were added to the game. ;)

I just remembered after they added the asian bloodlines in 2006, there was the wild rumor that they would add Jovians as a playable race in the near future.
It's funny how quick rumors spiral out of control.. Even more comical how quickly they fade away in a fairly short amount of time.

Jove as a possibly playable race has been implied since beta. Signature locked for inappropriate image. Zymurgist |

We have 12 I dont really see how 4 more will improve the games since they are just fluff anyway now.
If they ever add Jovians that the will be interesting, but other wise its pretty blah.

Yes, the rumor has always been around.
But for some reason after the bloodlines patch there were all these claims of insider info that Jovians were to be added in the "next patch". Of course, there have been many patches since then so that rumor was tossed aside. I guess it's not that unusual for Eve in terms of the wild rumors. Somebody always claims to have inside info that such and such was right around the corner.
Makes me wonder if it will ever come to pass though. Would imagine it would be difficult to implement when you consider the advanced tech they have access to.
Heres a funny vid for those of you who weren't around at the time. There is a part of the vid that pokes fun at the added bloodlines/RMR etc etc.

I'm sorry, adding depth to the rpg portion of the mmorpg is not nearly as profitable as the

You are Tony Stark. You have been kidnapped by the villainous Amarr. They have demanded you build them a missile in a cave. Instead, you present them with duct tape ships and space kites.
How do you proceed?

Amarr > Ammatar (Many Ammatar aren't.... well, I don't want to spoil anything. Read Empyrean Age) I did, .
Gallente > Mannars (? the fu- ?) They make up a good size of the Federation, but like Krusals got no love.
